Which begs the question, why wasn't this always the case!?

I hope matchmaking is a bit better now. I haven't been playing much lately because it was really starting to annoy me. Sounds like premades get put up against other premades more now too, which will hopefully put an end to us rolling up against a gang of lvl 30s.

Also ordered another copy for some cheap riot points (thanks for the heads up) and should be on a bit more now.

It was the case before because RIOT believed that two players of equal skill have the same chance to win regardless of level. It's obviously not the case though.
 
I'm guessing their reasoning is that if you have a high ELO then your probably a better player than just a random lvl 30 dude who has just lost a load of matches and now has a low ELO.

Maybe they underestimated the effect of Runes that you have access to at lvl 30 vs a sub lvl 20 guy.

Who knows ;]
 
I'd agree - once you get to level 20 it becomes very clear their is an advantage. Although you can still experience very good players sub 10 - that still doesn't make it any fairer.

I also see the Season one changes effectively pushing post level 20 players to that and all sub 20 players to standard games so again that will improve things...though possibly making our games more challenging - at least we will get a whole lot of stats including ranked games elo :)
 
Decided to move to the euro servers so a lot of hours down the drain :( just had my first game and won! What's your names so i can add you all to my new friends list?
 
Urgh. I find the community bad enough without giving them even more reason to complain. I think I'll stick to normal games as well.
 
I certainly will try it but as I play for fun if it is a worse attitude (which I don't think their will be :) ) then I won't be staying. I think most people treat these games as ranked anyway when they're not. Anything for more stats/elo and a ranking - even if mine will be lowly :)
 
Also note that Game has (had?) the collectors edition for £4.98 recently which I bought immediately as its definitely worth it...........

The cheapest currently is either GameStation store for £5 or online from Gamestation for £5.98. You can get multiple copies to take advantage of the £9 worth of Gold you get with it as well :)

Agreed once you put the code in you get your champions and the gold. if you already have the collectors pack then it shows you getting the champions again but you also get the gold :)
