*** League of Legends ***

I just played a 3v3 with bots. I had no idea what to do skill/item wise, but it lasted almost 1 hour and I had 90 minion kills, 3 champion kills, 2 assists and 6 deaths. We lost in the end though. :(
 
On the original post of this thread are some really good videos. Worth the 1/2 hour or so running them. They cover the real basics of the game and will probably assist. The bots are excellent just to play with but unfortunately they have no skill at all :(
 
wow the servers are utter crap they only work well when barely anyone will be playing like after midnight...

during the day they lag like crazy i suspect riot chose a location in germany that has really bad routing and one of the servers on the way has silly packet loss.

goa would have atleast had the servers on an internet backbone and probably in france where they always had mmo servers in the past.
 
Playing practice games appeared to have no lag. If people are complaining of lag tonight then worth just doing practice games. Goa always complained about network infrastructure being the reason for a number of the issues (chat and login) so not sure France is any better location. I'm sure WOW's servers are not in the area as GOA's :)
 
Do remember that Riot basically had to start from scratch. It's already no worse then it was when GOA were handling it and at least some parts had improved when I last logged on.
 
No, because I knew it wasn't going to be anywhere near perfect until at least Thursday night so I decided to do other things until then. You really can't expect Riot to fix everything in 2 days.

Agreed, the game is now in 'Beta' state so until it's out of that we have to expect issues. So far the pvpnet issues that have really hurt Goa's install have gone and we have the lag issue which I understand is better tonight. That's not bad after 2 days!
 
Played 2 games since the change over, first game had big lag spikes (same day it went live). The 2nd game i played yesterday had very minor lag for me, but some of the other players some lag issues.

Got lots to do today, but hopefully i will be about for a few games tonight. Only had 2 games since last weekend lol.
 
Played twice last night, 1st went fine without any lag. Second game, I think everybody disconnected as when I tried to reconnect it failed, and when i relogged in there was no re-join button.

Logging in and character select is definitely snappier now though.
