Yep, whenever I want to test out a new champ or try one of my current champs with a new build and/or tactics I play some normal games. Ranked matches aren't for trying new things on :) (Xalan in game)
 
Definitely feels like the atmosphere has changed in game...and not for the better. Maybe just because I'm tired or whatever but my last few games haven't really been that fun.

I've not noticed any difference tbh. The Draft mode I love when playing ranked games.

Ranked games I want to win more than a normal game. Been playing in premades so maybe that could be the difference, I know solo play can be very ragey - people can take this game way too seriously.

Lost a string of 4 games last night before we pulled it back to win 2 (Sorry Gobes after you left we won the next 2 :) ) I changed from Alistair to Ashe and that helped.
 
Yep adding rankings and visible elo has brought out the worst in a lot of people.

Agreed on the above two points. I know I bang on about HoN a lot on mumble but this was something that I saw in HoN, people were absolutely obsessed with their PSR (ELO) and it was basically the be all and end all for a lot of people. When I switched to league I was happy because I found that I could play it for a) fun and b) IP which gave actual rewards such as champions and runes, and best of all you still got IP if you lost which meant you were still rewarded. Now they have added an actual penalty for losing (your magical stats number goes down).

I can hear people shouting "Well then just play Normal mode and stop whining (its not really a whine, more of an analysis on why people might be more inclined to rage now)"... agreed, but I'm weak and love my stats too much to let go ;). I imagine playing normal would provide the same "no loss penalty focus on fun" that there has always been.

Anyhoo, Tals has the answer, just play with OcUK folks and you'll always have a nice game ;).
 
Very true, without you all I'm sure I would have moved on but I do love the social interaction as well. I think riot have again made a good call regarding normal games people wanted elo displayed but they stuck to their guns and we now have a relaxed play option as well as the competitive play

What does happen, though, is minion waves freeze, I can't see any spells and when I level up it doesn't allow me to upgrade a spell.

Force closing the client and reconnecting makes things work fine again...

It drives me mad!

Same problem here, projectile animations seem delayed and also landing auto attack hits. Movement is fine though :confused:

It's certainly a royal pain in the gooch. There have been two or three other people complaining of the same thing in chat during games so it must have something to do with the servers. What's even more bizarre is that while some people are having an absolute nightmare with it, other people's games during the same match are running fine :confused:
 
I've got the lag problem as well! It doesn't come along in the middle of a game though, you start the game with it (or at least I do). Closing everything to do with league (including the lobby) and logging in again solves it. The way that I can tell its happening is that the FPS counter will show around 15 where I usually get around 30 (yes yes, old rig). The latency meter is fine, nothing suspect there.

At 15fps the frame rate is slightly choppy but it still feels like the game is fine until you're taking damage from invisible enemies then the game catches up and it all clicks. It's definitely a lag issue but for some reason when it's happening framerate is affected too.

Vladimir, The Crimson Reaper

* Transfusion: Vladimir drains the lifeforce of his target, dealing magic damage and healing himself for 25% of that amount.
* Sanguine Pool: Vladimir sinks into a pool of blood for 2.5 seconds, becoming untargetable and slowing enemies above him. Vladmir deals magic damage to targets above him and heals himself for 15% of that amount.
* Tides of Blood: Vladimir unleashes a torrent of blood, damaging surrounding enemies. Additionally, multiple Tides of Blood in a short period of time cause them to cost additional health and deal additional damage, and increases his healing and regeneration by 8%.

I started downloading the new patch and now my launcher keeps crashing at 72% every time I launch is there anyway to fix it ?

Did you manage to resolve this, usually the official support forums are the best place to go if you get issues since if you are getting them then guaranteed others will be.

Community on our side seems to have built up nicely, returned from holiday wondering if people were still playing and if anything it's larger now usually +10 on each night. Had some good 5v5 practice matches and with mumbles whisper to all feature provides a nice way of having smack talk as well chatting to the team.
