Another tip this time for anyone getting the new fps bug:

For anyone who has an ancient PC (such as myself ;)); since the patch there seems to be some kind of FPS bug which you have to close the game and join again to resolve. After a quick read of the forums I found this isn't necessary and you can just go start -> run -> taskmgr. End the process called LoLClient.exe which will be happily sucking the life out of your CPU.

By doing this my average framerate went from something like 30 to 50 (or 15 to 50 when I had the bug). The downside is that you won't end up in the post game lobby chat because you've basically closed the pvp.net client.

Has seemed laggy to me since the patch :(
 
ya they have stoped 5v5 as there servers r very busy!! the 2 US hardware n system team r flying to eu to setup there new servers, will take a few days!!
 
As the 5v5 servers were down it gave me an opportunity to play on the Twisted Treeline map, which I haven't done since today. It's quite a cool map and I like the music :p

I don't like the -20% IP points, though!
 
how do you find out what champions are available each week? becuase i've found the list on the official LoL site, but they don't seem to correspond to the champions that are free to play now......
 
meh.....i got 1100 points, not enough for the 3k heros..... :( any suggestions when i do get to 3k? i'm thinking the gangplank guy.....or for 1150 the guy with the deck of cards......
 
I currently have a a core 2 due 6600 and a really cheap gfx card(ati hd 3400). It runs ok at the moment, but what gfx card would you recommend for this game. Don't want to spend massive amounts and my monitor only goes up to 1680x1050.

Suggesting a champ to buy isn't really possible as a favorite champ of one guy may not be right for you at all. I recommend buying champs which you have used before and liked. Saying that, I have bought champs that I never used before and some I like and get on with while there are others that I don't get on with.
