Any idea when the new map will be inplamented. I have been playing a few normals here and there, not as much as i used to.

I was watching a stream this morning and he was the only 1 playing on it lol.

Finally, grabbed Thresh. This champ is so much fun!

I have a friend who started this year and he cant get enough of thresh and will always play him if its available. His actually pretty good at it now and I usually play ADC with him, the only downside is he doesn't have much knowledge of the other champs.

I've noticed that if you play with experienced players from the get go you instantly out skill like 60% of the players who play on their own, some of the decisions people make shock me.

Yeah it seems odd!.

The odd thing is I tend to have easier games in ranked than I do in normal matches (do you have different ratings?).

Yes there is a hidden elo rating for normal games as well as a public elo for ranked games. These are two separate figures. If you duo with someone a lot better or worse than you then this will affect who you are matched with and likewise if you play ranked 3's or 5's this also has an associated elo rating.

If you play normal 5's as a team 3+ then they add a fudge factor to reflect that you will be more coordinated as a team

I used to think that too, then I played Gragas support.....FTW

I'm actually coming from maining Gragas, he is so much goodness. I still have to get Thresh mechanics down, I'm old so it's a slower process for me.

I'm still missing directing Flay correctly. So far I found Thresh skills to be a lot more intensive than Gragas. That's just in my experience so far.

The flay took me a while but I particularly like grabbing a champ - pulling to him and then reversing the flay so I keep him close to me. Still need to coordinate the lantern though.

It's coming in after World, they don't want to mess up the current pro-scene by changing mid-term. AFAIK they haven't finished the pathing etc. yet either

well finallly picked myself out of the ditch and got back into silver and back into the realm of I know best and throwing games :)

forgot that silver rage is worse than bronze rage aha.

still won't take me long to climb above the rest of them.

Anyone explain something to me :

I have never ranked so I'm classified as unranked (duh)

But is there an unranked rating as such. Since I noticed the other day on lolking that I'm matching up against higher ranked players.

I only have 240wins so I consider myself noob...just interested in the mechanics.

You have an unranked MMR that it uses to match Normal games. It's completely separate from ranked MMR.

Unranked MMR is pretty screwy because it assumes people take normal games seriously, which they don't. It's worse if you play normal draft because that is played almost exclusively by ranked players who don't play normals that often so their normal MMR is miles off their ranked MMR.

Also with 240 wins you are not a noob, I started ranked with less and got placed in silver.

I'm the same, I only play normals and often get matched up with Gold/Plat players due to my normal games MMR.

I should actual play some ranked to fix my normal MMR xD I'm actually a silver player so normals can be very tough sometimes. Often people play fairly casually compared to rank so the skills levels don't really matter all that much.

Cheers guys for the information.

I gotta say I'm having a real blast with Miss Fortune this season. She has really come on since her patch. I can really snowball her . Prior to patch I found cait hard to play against with her self peel. This season, I find I'm able to engage fairly well against her.

My recent Thresh purchase going well, although it must be said being a support gets frustrating when your Adc is clueless. I forgot about that part of supporting.

Hey guys!

Just a quick one, i will be streaming tonight at around 7pm, it would be great if you could give me a follow or watch! Twitch.tv/proxeum
