All about reliable ganks early then, ensure you have a jungler than can step in to a 2v2 lane and get the double kill or an easy single. Need the speed though, get in, kill, get out and get xp again. Early game sorted :P

I'd agree, certainly we struggled early game and although I survived for a bit in my 1 v2 lane I was never comfortable and was having a real problem farming. Although leveling was nice.

I was pleased that we didn't do what happened to us last week where we got blatantly back doored - this we did win as a team, not just because the other team got lazy :)

Games are epic when they are come backs - i'd have willingly surrended on the first inhib down and double deaths on our side, does just show :)

Towers >> Kills.

Asides from catching somebody in the jungle by surprise, the purpose and reward of a successful gank should always be a tower. The swifter the gank, the more time you have to take the tower before the enemy responds. Ganking to put the enemy down and gain a level advantage is a poor strategy by itself. Ganking and taking a tower is snowballing.

Its the reason dragon is is so important. Free, re-spawning, universal gold and exp tower kill for which ever team takes it. Yes please.

not really because you get gold for the kill :P

dragon isnt worth it by time you high enough level to easily kill it without losing much time no one needs the exp and the gold is only a few mobs..

sure you can kill it with ww at around lvl 6 if you have the razor but it still takes a good 30+ seconds whden you could have killed almost every jungle spawn in that time

Should always get Dragon when its up, its 130 gold and XP for your whole team, getting it regularly will put your team at a good advantage gold income, xp wise.

As for ganking your jungler should always be trying to do so after getting red, if your team has been last hitting pretty well their lanes shouldn't be pushed making for easy ganking, can also mean a tower kill if it goes well which in turn is global team gold and good xp for anyone killed.

Gotta think LoL as a snowballing game, doing this stuff successfully will put you miles ahead if you were just pushing lanes, farming neutrals constantly.

If you them let do both you notice the enemy with a big level advantage and better items earlier and will make it ever so much harder on your team.

You really, really underestimate the importance of Dragon.

What is LoL? Lots of PvP I see, is it free for the US?

Free for US or Euro. We have players on both but most gravitate to the Euro - i'd like to think because mumble has become a better community than steam (which is used by the US guys)

You can have accounts/clients for both they are totally independant

? mumble is a voice comms thing, steam is a gaming platform .... how do they compare?

How they are used. With mumble or the way we have it if people want to play they sit on mumble and get called in game. Steam same thing but people may not necessarily be on for a game. If we are to compare we appear to have more success in forming up than the US guys. Maybe the way we do it you tend to get more sucked into a game.Either way I get more games through mumble than steam -others experiences may vary. But those who sit outside EU mumble tend to miss because the teams have already been formed. Case in point tonight, lots on but in dioff channels. Quick shout and we have a team of 5 :)

this is one thing i see so many people do wrong. so many players needlessly push lanes because it feels like you're winning when it actually has major disadvantages... the only time the lane should be pushed is to destroy a tower, or to counter push

your lane should only be over pushed as hard as the opponent pushes so that the fight stays around the middle of the lane or close to your own tower... this means your teams jungler will have much more successful ganks whilst you are fairly safe. remember that the only hit that counts is the last hit, so learn to last hit.

even if you have the stronger lane combo, you should let them push more than you because if you choose to attack, they have a much bigger distance to run for safety, better yet this allows you to zone and deny, which is massively important aspect especially in a solo lane. your job in the solo lane is to DENY that 1 person xp and gold so that you level at the same rate as he does and he gets screwed. if you dont do this then you are failing the lane and letting them get the xp advantage because they have a jungler and you don't.

Totally agree with this, best place for the lane is just outside of your tower range. So you can jump to tower if they try anything plus your tower then doesn't steal kills from you (and gold!).

Only rule I do when 1vs2 with Mundo, even got a double kill with fortify last night in the first 10mins which gave me a great boost early game. Just happy they didn't surrender at 25mins

Granted it can be more difficult to last hit when it tower range if you have friendly creeps involved but there is a formula that might help:

Melee creeps take 2 shots of the tower, then you last hit.
Ranged creeps require a hit from you, a shot from the tower and then you last hit.

Can't remember what the wagon is, usually play those by ear.

Gonna have my account suspended one of these days, ranked game laning with xin after it took about a minute of convincing that he should be south lane with eve as eve solo = no ganks around the map. He then proceeds to save skills and stay out of every fight until he can dive in a take the kill, then he does the same every time i try to get blue. Then he goes off to feed for a while, then we lose :\
