Leeds arbitration hearing

I'm not going to get into the whole should we/shouldn't we have been docked the 15 points at the start of the season as a) I don't know enough about the situation and b) it's been done quite considerably already. I would, however, like to stress that any argument against the full 15 points return based on the view that it'd be 'unfair' to teams currently above Leeds is utterly without standing.

Quite simply, you should've performed better throughout the season. Had the whole points debacle not begun we'd be clear 2nd and looking for the title. That other teams are ahead based upon the mistreatment of Leeds does not make them a better team. Take the -15 out of the equation and we outperformed the 22 other clubs by far, would've spent the majority of the season in the top spot and would be back in the Championship without a squeaky bum in sight.

This isn't intended as a reply to any specific comments posted here, more at the whinging rest of the league in general.

As a Forest fan I'd be gutted if you got your points back although I can see why the leeds fans feel this is an injustice.

If you do get your points back then I'd be happy not to face leeds in a playoff game although a Leeds Forest wembley final would be a fine spectacle (if Forest won of course :p )

Meh...Leeds deserve everything they are getting. They manipulated events to try and escape punishment and it has backfired on them. No sympathy.

"They" doesnt include the supporters and the players who are the main people paying for OTHERS mistakes, the players have done just as much work and played just as well as swansea all season and we (the supporters) have got behind them all the way

We do not deserve to have the points deducted, fine ken bates or whoever is responsible (for not doing a lot wrong) at most (or whoever it is in particular who have done wrong)

As far as I know you don't know the first thing about me so you can't possibly know what I do or do not know so. No about of silly smilie faces at the end of your posts make them any more correct, important or indeed interesting.

I can't see Leeds being given all the points back just becsaue of the trouble that will casue in terms of league position.

Will they get some points back, maybe but I would guess that it would be 3 at the most, not enough so they can not gain automatic promotion even with a win and the Forest result going for them.

It is a mess and a whole can of worms just waiting to be opened.

You can't just separate the club and those that run it when punishment is being decided. True, the fans and players have done nothing wrong but it is not them that are being punished. It is the club.

There is no way you could possibly hold the opinion you do if you were in any way informed about the situation, ergo it stands to reason that you are not.

Any news on this yet?

Quite eager to hear about whats going on being a Swansea fan :o

BTW, what was EmptySoul PermaBanned for?

Double accounts or something? Only having 8 posts seems quite quick ban!

As far as I know the decision will be made and all parties involved will be informed and then an official announcement by the Football League will be made at 5pm today.

Leeds United will today discover the outcome of their appeal against the 15-point deduction imposed before the start of the season.

Among the many rumours circulating regarding outcome, one gathering momentum on a number of fans' forums is that the Elland Road club will be given back 10 points.

That would propel Leeds up to 2nd in the table, three points ahead of Doncaster. With only one round of matches remaining in League One and Leeds' goal difference eight better than that of Rovers, that scenario would mean the Whites were promoted back to the Championship.
