Women frequently do that. It's a common and completely understandable psychological reaction. Its one of the reasons that interaction with the victims tends to be done by female police officers and medical staff.

That is what happens when you suffer a trauma, the mind goes into protect mode. If there are distinctive features then it enhances them more.

It's interesting that I dont see them shouting pakistan in the faces of female police officers.

Also if you look at the hot spots in Manchester for lock down issues, the press has already indicated it isn't spreading via pubs so much as via household transmission in culturally sensitive areas.

So you're saying it's more prevalent in poorer, more built up areas of Oldham right, or are you blaming Pakistani people for being solely responsible for the spread?

In my part of Greater Manchester, in two electoral ward areas they have a high ethnic minority population. The amount of cases coming from the 2 areas alone is higher than the country was at the height of the pandemic. The local council keeps saying lockdown is approaching, even sending out leaflets, and a letter to households all across the town. They know if they bring in a town wide lockdown its going to cause some ethnic tensions. But they also dont want to specifically impose a mini lockdown on those 2 ward areas either as they are nervous about being called racist.

As for the OP question, genuine asylum seekers should get legal aid (bring back legal aid for people here too). Though what we deem as an asylum seeker is a point of contention.
