Lenovo Legion 5 Pro

I assume this is Norway, seems available there. Ad popped up today for me.
I wouldn't buy it though I think these countries have a different keyboard layout. I wouldn't want to spend so much and not have it exactly as I want it.

The web site being in Norwegian is a bit of a giveaway.... You wouldn't like having a Norwegian keyboard as it's probably similar to the Swedish which is very different to our standard QUERTY layout as they have a load of letters in their alphabet that we don't.

I just ordered (not in the UK) the base one with a 3060 and the base AMD processor.
To get the 3070 I had to get the higher CPU and tbh I'm not a hardcore gamer and I wanted to keep the price down.
This will be used for productivity stuff mostly.

Why buy a gaming laptop then?

Also I noticed prices have gone up didn't it have 1tn ssd for £1000 now it's £1150 for 256gb

Ssd are useless games are so big you need spinner HDD

Because it's good for productivity. Big bright screen, lots of USB ports. Can also play games. We've already got the older Legion 5 with an AMD and a 2060.

A gaming laptop is the Swiss Army Knife of computers.

Because 'gaming' is just a label that most people are capable of looking beyond. Like OspreyO, I bought it for the screen, ports plus good CPU & more RAM than I probably need and I can expand the storage to 4TB without much effort if I really need to.

I'm planning on buying a gaming laptop soon. It will be for video editing and photo editing. I don't plan on playing any games on it ever! Now if I could only find a legion 5 pro :(

It's available currently.

It is? From where? I saw the link earlier where I can order one that "ships in more than 6 weeks". I need one sooner than that so if there are other places that have them in stock I would like to know. (Ones with ryzen5800 and 3070s)

I understand those reasons, like you for the cooling, extra ports etc, additional NVME slots, backlit keyboard, however I'm just looking for the most basic dedicated GPU + dedicated VRAM. Somewhere between Asus Vivobook and Lenevo Legion.
