Lenovo Legion 5 Pro

So I upgraded mine with 32GB of Crucial Ballistix 3200 ram, but made the schoolboy mistake of not factoring in the ability to enable XMP. So the ram is currently running at 1332Mhz/2667.

How much difference will this be making? Have I made it worse than with the stock ram or will the tighter timings make up for it? The timings are showing as 19-19-19-43 but must admit to being a little confused.

Should I just reorder a new kit or is it not really worth it?

Ryzen likes faster RAM so I would return and get the Hyper X. Probably the best laptop ram going. Get the IBK2 version though and NOT the IB2k2.

I want to upgrade to 32GB
Can anybody point me in the right direction to the best RAM for my machine

As above comment.

This i didn't know, cheers fellas

Ordered the cable creation Type C to DP 4k@144hz.

Cable came, and i'm over the moon, Type C is the new poster hero on my wall.

An update for people who have ordered the 5 pro and are waiting. I ordered mine at the beggining of June and a couple of days ago recieved an email saying there is a lack of components and my expected delivery is 31/08/2021 which is pretty much september!

I just recieved another email today saying "we were able to expedite it’s fulfilment" and the new delivery date is 30/06/21 which is in 1 week. So if you recieve the later email, have patience, I guess lenovo also have no idea when they can get parts so the September delivery date is just an estimate until they do. Hope this helps some of you that have worried you will have to wait 3 months to get it :)

Ordered 4th June, got the same email stating 31st August, same email about expediting fulfilment, then got an email yesterday (26th) stating it was shipped. Should be with my on Friday 2nd July.

Have my Crucial P5 2TB NVMe to fit into the empty second slot which I got on Prime day for £167 and should have my Hyper X 32Gb memory by the same day as the laptop arrives.

It is laptop upgrade time for me and typically the one i want (legion 5 pro) i cant source anywhere.

Are there any alternatives (QHD, 3060/3070) for a similar price?
Is the screen poor on the standard legion 5 with the 3070?

There are two screens options on the legion 5 a 250nits and 300nits screen. If you have the former it wouldn't be great. We have 300 and it's ok.

The legion 7 also has 300 and 500 nits options and the 5 pro only has 500 nits. They should be as good as anything else out there.

I've been routing with the getting a second one with the 500 nit screen. I like working in the sunnier rooms of the house.

"Following up on our latest email regarding your Estimated Shipping Date, we regret to inform you that following some unforeseen delays with manufacturing we have recalculated the shipping date and the latest estimation is 09/09/21."

Really disappointing to get this email when other peoples orders have arrived earlier than anticipated :/ When they sad it would be 31st of August that was frustrating, but this seems like an awfully long time after my 3rd June order date
Anyone else seen similar?

I assume ordering has been removed for custom 5 pro?
Was considering selling my 4800H 2060 and looking at an upgrade to a 3070. Maybe not worth it though.
