All photographers are boring old people who walk around the woods and plains of England looking at old broken rocks and stupid flowers trying to make a good photo, whilst getting in the way on public footpaths while I bomb down them on my mountian bike.:)

Every downhill cyclist is a prepubesent retarded thrill seeking mentalist and are always looking to go the EXTREME!!!1111one

Honestly, and seriously, I don't agree with your image at all and I don't believe that "everybody is racist", whether they know it or not.

And im the one who is suppose to spout rubbish...I dont expect you or anyone to agree with me. It is well known that we are all subliminaly racist. Check out what droolinggimp said about the class his Gf attends or something along those lines. From your first post in this thread and now this...aint no surprise really with your stance.

The swearwords might follow the descriptives because they are normally "commonly" paired in the public domain, you're just saying something you've heard without it having any meaning to you yourself.

And i guess the association of certain words with certain race as a result of public domain influence dosent make it so? (racist)...Im speechless. Are you saying to me you say some things you hear without even know what it mean in terms of racial curse word? If so, then you are what i think you are.

Either you have a problem accepting that we are all racist subliminaly, have the potential to be so or you are in-denial...

I certainly wasn't being agressive, I hope I didn't come across that way :) I simply dislike it when someone can tell me that i'm a racist without having even met me, or every other person on the face of the planet for that matter. It's an interesting question I've asked myself and others many times.

I see your point in Els post about us all being some sort of racist etc. It does seem harsh.

I know you wasnt being agressive. I presume you said that after reading my post.:)

To me all this racism thing is all very border line. How can one say one is racist, like you said, with out knowing the person. There is only 2 people on these forums that know me and they would say Im not racist but have a tendancy to spout out comments that could be classed as racist.. Its a very strange subject to fathom.

No it aint harsh, it is the truth we all are one way or the other.

We are on the same wavelength here.. dont let it break up..:p

I still see your point. Ill deffo get my missus on here when she gets back from work she could have a few thing to say.

All women are exceptionally poor drivers and cannot parallel park without hitting the kerb or the bumpers on other cars. :p

All bus drivers are uneducated, stupid and think that they own the roads. They also have problems admitting that they are wrong.

All politicians are liars.

The above may in reality be fact as opposed to generalisation

You really do puzzle me, for once I was actually trying to have a sensible discussion with you, but maybe that's for another time, eh? or another person. You really do make no sense.
Ignoring your first quote for the sake of maturity, you give your two sources for the "we are all racist" argument as "it is well known" and the evening classes droolinggimp's GF attends (nothing to do with him or her). I am of the odd belief that just because someone says something it doesn't make it correct. I'm genuinely interested though, which is why I'm continuing with this at all.

As for the third quote: no, I am not saying that I "say some things you hear without even know what it mean in terms of racial curse word?". in fact, I explicitly said I didn't, I can point it out for you if you have trouble finding it. And as for your "association of certain words with....", how are "old", "fat" or "stupid" races?
You simply can't call me a racist based on what you read somewhere and assume everybody knows because you have no idea who i am. Or who the guy sitting next to me is. Or the 6000th member on these boards. Sorry.

Please do that if you can.

Let me ask you and those who disagree with me this question - Why insult somebody on the basis of their skin colour (as explained by you) if we aint potentially racist?

In my opinion, this issue can be likened to a known situation in psychology where every man is a potential killer.

Regarding that comment on every man being a potential killer, I agree. I have seen that before somewhere. I suppose if we all can be potential killers there is nothing to stop us being potential "anything".

I do have to agree with El`s thoughts here.

But see, that's what I'm trying to address. Is it necessarily insult? I've been arguing on the basis that calling someone black, fat, white or green isn't necessarily in an insulting manner but in a descriptive one. Who decided that it was in an insulting manner?
