I have one of these:



Full RFID protection, and a build-in flush-retracting money clip (I didn't bother with the optional leather cover).

It is hands down the best wallet I've ever owned.
 
Had my flipside wallet for years and the hinge has partially broken on it, so in the market for a new one - anyone know and hard shell wallets that are good for UK notes?!
 
My wallet cost me less than £5 about 10 years ago. It can hold 9 cards and thousands in notes. It actually holds 5 cards, usually a £10 note for times when a little cash is convenient and sundry receipts and bits of paper that I keep for no good reason. It fits comfortably in my trouser pocket. Why pay more for something that does the same thing? If I wanted to display money, I'd stick £50 notes to my forehead rather than buying expensive items that do the same thing as cheap items.

Your wallet is too large for me then, I used to have one l but wanted something smaller now. Also something that looks good and is durable while in a pocket with other items, a full size wallet would not do that.

I used to have a wallet like that; a nice good quality leather one. I had it for about 16 years. Finally switched to the Cascade wallet for the following reasons:

* leather wallet was too big and bulky (my Cascade wallet is very small and always stays the same size and weight)
* I keep my transactions cashless, so there's no need to carry notes or coins
* any other pieces of paper can be stored in my pockets until I get home
* leather wallet didn't have RFID protection

Big wallets can be a trap: you end up carrying around more stuff than you actually need.

I've got a Bellroy Note Sleeve in the steel blue colour and it's excellent. (just don't put too many cards in otherwise it'll lose it's shape)

I pay more for something that does the same thing as something cheap because nice things are nice.
 
I got a Dash wallet not too long ago after using a bulky bi-fold for years

Forced me to trim down what I carry which is not bad thing and it is working really well for me. Has a sleeve on the other side to put cash in although most of my transactions are card as I'm sure a most peoples are these days

Replaced a similar black version, but this one has 2 x more card slots and somewhere to put notes. More importantly I don't keep leaving it on my car seats as it stands out!
