Even if the price is not insane, we are getting close to Black Friday, and we might see the Dell drop in price again like it did in their summer sale. I'm sure that the LG will be better than the current Alienware, but not to justify a £500 price difference. I can't see the LG getting a big price drop for Black Friday, assuming it is widely available by end Nov.

I obviously don't know for sure, but I think no. All talk has been Nov release based on Daniel's input here, reps at shows and general discussion across the web.
ahh i see then that settles it, I was thinking I bought this monitor and thought a new one was release only a week after my purchase, also its up for a massive £799.00 and before it was around the 600 pound price tag, not sure why its jumped to £799 again....

No hope for an October release?
According to a german forum entry, the LG 34GK950G will launch early December, while the freesync model will launch in 2019.

Ouch. Let's hope that is not true.
So many will probably just buy the DW or X34p on Black Friday.

I will buy the AW if goes on sale on Black Friday and LG has no release date yet.
Moving to DP1.4 and DisplayHDR 400 it will be the best move that LG could do (I know the price would be higher but less than the incoming X35 or PG35VQ). This, or remain like it is but lowering the price thinking in X34P or AW. I think its current price tag of 1399€ is a DOA, knowing that X34P or AW will be at 900-1000€ on Black Friday.
Let's hope for the price LG Daniel was hoping for. £1100.

@Daniel - LG Can you please provide an update. Black friday is coming up and the Dell is currently $829 USD. Its getting harder and harder to wait for this monitor with no definite answers from anyone at LG.

pcmonitors just posted that they will shortly be reviewing the LG 34GK950G with publication early November. So it appears that the monitor is done and its just a matter of upping the production from now on?

I am 99.99% sure this will be between £1049.99 and £1099.99 upon release
I am trying hard to get it to a point where we can be at £999.99 inc but I just don't think we can get there

Is it true the Freesync one goes for 2019?
£2019 in money do you mean? not sure where that has come from, but the F model is likely to be slightly cheaper than the G model. original expectations were €1199 Euro for the F, and €1399 Euro for the G model.
