LG 34GK950G, 3440x1440, G-Sync, 120Hz

So much information in such few days. Amazing work.

Thank you for that.

Way better than pcmonitors review... I mean, so far. ;)

Joking aside, great work! Looking forward to the G Review.

Oh you. :p

Very nice review, as usual Baddass. Seems VEGA won't be too impressed with the strobe backlight implementation, that strobe crosstalk was quite messy. Will be interesting to see if the G-SYNC model can offer some pixel response time and input lag improvements, not that this model was too bad in those respects of course. Just based on what I found comparing the 32GK850G to 32GK850F I suspect there could be some improvements, we'll see. :)

i wouldn't be surprised either. will get that review done soon :)

The factory calibration and calibrated contrast ratio were impressive. Significantly better than the AW3418DW. Less bleed is also always a good thing. Don't care about the MBR feature and its issues since I'd be getting the gsync model.

Still, price is the key. The panel obviously isn't a lemon so I'm in if the street prices are closer to the $1200 level.

Baddass do you think i'd be disappointed with the screen if I bought it to replace my XL2730Z specifically for the MBR (I don't really care about adaptive sync)? From reading the article it seems like it may not perform quite as well despite being a little brighter. Hard to compare since the XL2730 seems to have dropped off some of the charts. I know its IPS vs TN but I was hoping advances in the last 3 years or so had helped even the playing field ;)
Is it safe to assume the issues they have they could fix soon with firmware updates?

Not feelin' it.
Got the Alienware coming my way from Costco with an outrageously generous return policy in case it craps out while the BF sales start poppin'

My preference still would be PG279Q + 4K HDR monitor on mounts, but haven't committed yet to the hassle of AUO and dealing with warranty stuff.

Ya and the strobe set for only 144 Hz is a bit odd. Like you said, maybe they will finesse the pixel speed better on the G_Sync version. Look's like I'll be sticking with the Acer X27 though, nothing can really compare to it and the PG27UQ.

Where did you find this? I can't see anything on their site.
