LG 34GK950G, 3440x1440, G-Sync, 120Hz

Ah yes, just saw that. Well that's slightly better than the £1200 figure which was being suggested before... and if it drops closer to £1000 or even below, that's much better still.
if they go under 1k for sure they gonna sell more units = bigger profit at the end. for me £1k is the max i will ever pay for a monitor

This price was stated by LG Daniel a few pages back as well.

He said that it would land on these prices with 99.99% certainty, with the hope they could push the G-version to £1049. £1099 is good enough in my opinion.

If they only sell one tenth less then it's bigger profit for them since they don't have to produce as many monitors. I guess it's a balance.

better to sell it cheaper then stuck with unsold units and pay for warehouse

Yea maybe. As I said, to I am sure they are balancing all of this parameters against each other to get the most profit.

If they are selling it for €1249 in Sweden they would take over the 1440pUW market since both X34P and the DW goes for around €1100-1200. With occasional sales down to maybe €1000-1100.

So in Sweden £1100 would absolutely be a "fair" price and they would sell a lot of monitors here.

They can't really set the price higher in Sweden since we can just order from UK if the price in Sweden is too high, at least until UK leave the EU and then we will just order from Germany.

So I expect the monitor to land around €1300 in Sweden.

21:9 is still a niche product, acer and dell are not stupid they will lower the prices and there is a lot of people that pay for a brand and trust me LG is not at the top of desired brands

Umm. Hate to point this out, but isn’t it the end of the day in the UK?? It’s like 4:30pm? Shouldn’t the review be up by now?

I have a request: can you title the review “The King is Back!”

"confirmation of UK expected retail prices"... confirmation of an expectation... this is not a confirmation of retail price, though I'm sure it's actually correct.

£1100... feeling a bit better about picking up the Alienware for £615, even though I expect the LG monitor to be superior.
aw for £600 is a no-brainer, if i had a chance to buy one under £700 i wouldn't wait even a second.

If you got a new AW34 for £615 you're laughing! That's an insta-buy no doubt, wouldn't even think twice about it.

I think with Black Friday around the corner, it will be interesting to see what offers there are on it and the X34P... doubtful the LG can come close to competing there.
