LG 34GK950G, 3440x1440, G-Sync, 120Hz

I don't know, it might come down on Black Friday. There's also the X34P, which could also come up in some deals. Worth keeping an eye on anyway. The AW34 was £850 in a couple of places over the summer.
Yeah weird that the expected delivery date for 34G in pre-orders is Black Friday 23rd Nov

You can afford the latest tech or you are not... Simple..
You not looking at cpu or gpu or rgb in your computer case, but you look at monitor 99.9% of time! G version (g spot) is rockstar and twice cheaper than most expensive 4k monitor but just couple of hundreds more expensive than older tech 2-3year monitor. So do your own math

Customers that think this way are among the one to blame, why tech prices go through the roof lateley. They pay whatever is necessary to have the latest and greatest without thinking what additional benefit they get for it.
Pricing in Tech-Industry used to be more stable and waiting for something meant you got a real upgrade for your money. This seems to have changed recently. After waiting one year, no longer do we get more for our money, we get the very same but with the option to spend even more for something slightly better.

I think the entirety of this misunderstanding stems from this:

What these words mean to me is that the problem present (the reason for return) is the fact that the panel is completely damaged, and not the presence of BLB or IPS glow - katscan is not stating that the panel is 100% devoid of any semblance of BLB or IPS glow (for which varying levels of intensity elicit different responses and therefore what is acceptable to each individual varies - this is what's meant by "subjective stuff like that..").

Absolutely agree. The statement is meant to reflect that I am returning the panel for obvious and visible damage and NOT because of subjective back light bleed or IPS glow “issues”, which was the reason for Krzysztof’s prior return.

Amen.

For such low number of units is going to be nightmare to replace unit in case you not satisfied with quality of it.

Forget subjective quality for a minute. What happens if you get a completely broken panel like mine and can’t replace it for a month or two. That would suck. Luckily my replacement is coming next day (today) so fingers crossed.

Look around you, everything is just like that. Slightly better= slightly more expensive.

seeing as I work directly with Amazon I can tell you it doesn't lol

Black Friday is the day after Thanks Giving in the US, which is always the fourth Thursday of November in the US (22 Nov 2018), therefore the Friday is 23 Nov... I don't think Amazon have the power to change this! Black Friday is 23 Nov this year.

Yes obviously, but the point Daniel is making is that Black Friday sales - what people often refer to as just "Black Friday" even if it's not really correct - will start beforehand. And they will. Probably on the Monday of that week. Different retailers operate differently, and often different suppliers will stagger their promotional launch dates (which generally means retailer support - among other things brands give money to retailers for each unit of specific items sold, which can usually be claimed as a discount on a future order with that supplier - this allows the retailer to price the item lower than would normally be possible) as well.

My point is that Black Friday is not the creation of Amazon, despite what Amazon would like people to think. Also, @Lliam is correct in his statement that Black Friday is 23 Nov... this cannot be disputed.
