LG 38UC99 - 37.5'' 24:10 3840x1600 75Hz IPS FreeSync Strobing Backlight

Jigger - to be fair I am a reseller account manager, if we want to get picky, my job is to liaise with OCUK and ensure they have the correct LG products at the cheapest prices. We have a CS and RMA department whom deal with issues, but I go above and beyond my role where I feel I need to step in to help when issues arise - just to we are clear.

IQ should now be vastly better than it was, price wise, Gibbo has started a thread with all the details, but its £989.99, so happy we kept it under the £1k mark.

Vega- will be honest, although I am a technophobe and I like to get into the nitty gritty of our screens, I don't know the answers to your questions - I will however do my best to find out :) Unless Badass gets there before me that is!

Damn, I only just got my LG 34UC98-W....and then this bad boy comes out!
The freesync range is still crap though

going lower isnt exactly a joyful experience, freesync or not. However if that it what you desire you can usually get a few more hz on the freesync range yourself by using CRU.. Did this myself with a 34um68 from LG after ocing it.

I'd love to mod it a bit more with custom resolution whatsitt but apparently it gives a lot of crashes

Nice, TFTCentral tweeted that it does in fact have a strobing back-light as tested!

I guess the million dollar question is since Freesync has nothing do do with a strobing backlight, cay you enable it on NVIDIA cards?

spoiler alert - yes you can enable the strobed backlight from an NVIDIA card. i've only just started to test it so don't want to say much more about it yet

Speak for yourself only, lots of others are.

Nobody actually wants gsync, they just want gsync functionality. The point is that gsync is bad for the industry because it's proprietary and locked to nVidia.

Like with everything else nVidia and proprietary, it won't properly take off. Look at PhysX...

I am keeping my eye on this, i have a 34um95, no curve, but it's served well over the last 3 years, this could be the next upgrade but would be interested to see the price fall abit on this baby perhaps

Same monitor as me, also been amazing last few years. But seeing as i just got a GTX 1080 card i was leaning towards something with a 34" 100hz...

But this is tempting.
