LG 48CX OLED - 4K 120 Hz

OcUK could be facing an interesting dilemma in terms of monitor sales volumes if OLED TVs carry on their upward trajectory of PC monitor market share.

People buy TVs from John Lewis and Richer Sounds, and OcUK don't sell TVs. The erosion of differentiation between TVs and gaming monitors won't be a good thing for OcUK.

If using an nvidia GPU on the CX48, are people enabling freesync premium as well or is that strictly for AMD GPU's? Also I've got the TV in PC mode to get 4:4:4 but can only get 10bit limited range in nvidia control panel, is that correct? If so should black level be low or auto for limited? I'm thinking low for limited range?

You should set it to full range, leave the TV black level on auto. You can also use limited range and similarly set the TV to auto, but full range is preferred for PC.

Good point really, LG electronics has said they will be releasing a 42" and 30" OLED gaming panel this year, am guessing its going to attempt to sit in the Gamer market and have a crazy high price tag also though, no one else has announced one yet.

I think those 2 sizes are pretty good and what everyone initially thought and said why 48"? its too big, 42" and 30" covers most.

Im using RGB Full 10bit @ 4K 120 and TV appears to use the black level high when set to auto. No freesync premium, using the standard VRR - working well :)

So is RGB 10 bit @ full preferred to 4:4:4 10 bit limited in Nvidia Control Panel?

I see Currys are doing £200 off again. I tried to get a John Lewis price match and the reply I received back was "We cannot price match. It's a different model"

Currys - LG OLED48CX6LB
JL - LG OLED48CX5LC

Seems JL are using that as a get out clause to price match..it's the same TV!

Unless I'm doing something stupidly wrong?!

try the offer at pcrdirect.co.uk with code 20WINTER200 they might price match as it's the exact same model

Thanks man, just after someone who's used an AMD card with it lately. I'm *so* close lol

The colours on the G7 impressed me tbh, how is the OLED?

Amazing, massive upgrade especially the inky blacks. I also have a C9 and CX 55" in the house, son has the C9 and I have the 55 CX downstairs. Shows how much I rate the LG OLEDs. :D
