LG 48CX OLED - 4K 120 Hz

My 42 CX seems to have died. Just turned itself off last night, then after 5 mins I managed to get it to turn back on, then 5 minutes later it did it again. But this time when the standby LED was on, i tried to turn the TV on but the LED just flashes 3 or 4 times and then won't turn on.

I left it unplugged overnight and tried this morning, same 3 flashes from the LED. So unplugged again and now the standby LED won't even light up.

I got it from Currys, would it be better to go through them or LG ?

Just ring up Currys team knowhow, they handle all the repairs themselves, usually they will get LG to send out the power or mainboard to fix it.

Sooner you ring the quicker they an collect the unit from your home, perhaps just ask if they require the tv stand or not, perhaps better to keep the stand in case they damage it. Might be useful if you use your original box rather then there's but ask in case they may use their own. Take lots of clear photos of your unit front and back also and leave a note of what's going wrong with the unit with your mobile number on bottom in case, sometimes these engineers just switch it on and say its fine and send it back otherwise.

No 48" for the G1 series. Not happy about that.

yeah pretty bizarre from LG, they already know the Evo panels are next gen and that 48" size is selling so fast now due to gamers and pc demand, only thing I can think is they may with luck use the same tech but on the 42" oled instead.

Only one not announced officially or even mentioned is the LG EX series, to me it looks like a monitor with that EX badge on the side and fancy back glass design, hope it is the 42" OLED but doesn't come with a high price tag.

hello guys ive change my gpu to a 3090 and now its showing 4.49Hz or 5.5Hz small numbers on the FreeSync Info, before it was a 2080ti and it was showing correct numbers with the FPS in games, anyone know why or any settings need to change? before it was the correct number but it was on 8bit and 4.2.2 on a 2080ti
