LG 48CX OLED - 4K 120 Hz

I expect the 48 to remain more expensive than the 55 due to limited supply.
John Lewis are already out of stock.

£1200 is probably the lowest it will go during Black Friday and the Christmas sales.

CX48 is a much lower volume part than the CX55 - hence the price not being respectively lower now. It's the same reason LG won't make a 43" or 40" OLED, as not many want that small a TV, and not enough want monitors that size. Argh!

Thanks I got the update 3.11.1 today, that explains a lot about the glass panel if they don't sale enough 77inch OLED panels the 48inch it be limited and keep the higher price tag, than the 55inch

Both on LG UK website, only had 3.11.10 OTA as yet, I think 3.11.25 was supposed to fix some gaming issues with gsync, as Vincent stated in his video. We have .26 so presume it contains this as well.

I only got updated to 3.11.10 2 days ago, but not getting the newer 3.11.26 update but it sounds like maybe that .26 update may include the gsync/gaming fix, probably getting pushed slowly across the board.

I'm thinking of getting this stand, can you get the TV low enough so it almost touches a soundbase or soundbar?
 
Can confirm that the update works perfect with my RTX 3080 for my 55" so no more flickering. Anyone using this on a 3080 what should my nv control panel settings be?

also should VRR be on in Windows even though I'm using gsync? Also should freesync be on or off on the TV settings? Cheers!

Not if you are running at 4k 120hz RGB, there's not enough bandwidth on the cut down HDMI2.1 ports (40Gb as opposed to 48Gb) for full 12-bit.

Any lower resolutions you can, but I don't think anything uses 12-bit at the moment aside from perhaps some specialised applications so it's pointless.

When you open the box the stand is at it's default level it might be too small for a sound bar but it depends on how thick the sound is!. You can raise it height of the stand that might give you more room, (say about the middle) the only reason I left mine at the default level was to put my 4K player under the TV like I said.

When you put the stand & base then the plate together you will know, then all is left is too screw the TV brackets to your TV but use the right screws!.

Hi guy just got my bx tv today, i was wondering how do you get 4k 120hz? i got a 1080 ti and a 18gb hdmi cable, do i need a different hdmi cable for it? it only shows 4k 60hz right now, thanks

You need a 3000 series with hdmi 2.1 support to get above 60hz.

Or the AMD 6000 series. Basically the requirement is for HDMI 2.1 to use 120hz, no GPUs have that except for the new gen of cards currently being rolled out :)
