Ah, right. I did it because I have a 3080 and Gysnc was borked, this new fw has fixed the issue.
Starting Resident Evil 3 in about 30mins to test it is fully working

Does g sync only work on dp? I ask I've got a gtx 1080, but I'm connected via hdmi but can't see a gsync option.

Done plenty of 1440@120 on the 2070S, combined with the sharpening thing in CP looks and plays super.

Dam I am looking at 3080, but theres a couple of things in my way, availability, cost (I'm not paying more than RRP), and vram size. I do see a difference between 4k and 1080 where I'm sat so I want to be able to run it full whack.

The firmware that fixes the 4K120Hz bugs is on the LG website so you can update via USB.
Just tried this a g sync didn't work but could get 4k120hz but now down to 100hz and gsync still don't work so I wouldn't bother
Edit after a restart of and pc now got gsync and 4k120hz hdr running at last!

Just download to a USB and flash that way, don't see the point of waiting for an OTA update when you can do it yourself in a few minutes.

USB1 on the side is the one I have used. Is it FAT32 and the .epk file in a folder LG_DTV?
Yup, had a gibberish name: lib32-starfish-dvb-secured-o18-534.gyeryongsan.o18-53403-05.00.03_prodkey_usb_V3_SECURED.epk
But yeah, that into FAT32 USB stick into port on side. keeps coming up with media options (but of course its not media) when plugged in. Did use USB last time for firmware update when it came out with LPCM update so not sure what's going on now. Tried two different USB sticks, odd!

what is the current fw via the menu?
04.80.03 which should be prior one, unless mistaken this one I am trying to get is 05.00.03 so should be fine
