LG OLED 2024 thread - A4, B4, C4, G4

My bro has a BLC and I keep trying to get him to buy the 55" LG G4 with stand. But he keeps saying he wants the Sony A95L which is over £2k. Whereas the G4 is like £1,699. Would the BLC get any discount on that? I'm not sure how it works as I don't own one lol. Ta
The G4 isn't included in the BLC discounts at the moment it seems.

Amazing tip. We keep forgetting this but my partner is now a teaching assistant and this card has been great. Will have a look.

Here's a fairly recent pic of the space. That's a 55". Not sure if the 65" would dominate a bit?

Yeah think it will be fine in the space too. I've just had a 65 and it's awesome. Get the tape measure out to give you an idea

Thanks, now that I'm looking at it, I think it would be fine too. We sit far enough back too!

What would I expect to sell an LG55 CX for these days? I notice lg offer a £200 promo to trade up but I imagine I could fetch more towards the new one

I got £210 via Facebook Marketplace for my 55" B7 a couple of weeks ago, if that helps.

Just need 9.4.4 speaker system :D
I don't whether I'm brave enough to admit this to you as I know you hate on soundbars :D but I picked up a q990d for a bargain price!

May be able to push the £300 mark, but whether can be bothered with the hassle.

Yeah tbh £200 trade = no hassle easier

Before trade with the current 10% plus her Blue light discount, it's £1,119 for the 65 C4. That's really tempting.

Then with the trade brings it to £919... Hmmm

You can't combine LG trade-in discounts with BLC discounts unfortunately.
Ohhh really? Doh! I hadn't added the trade in to the basket so wasn't aware. £1119 then seems like a good price and it should feel like an upgrade in size alone.

Has the picture come along much since the CX? Always enjoyed it tbh

C4 65" were £1,030 last weekend as you can stack the 20% BLC with the current LG website 10% offer. Pre discount prices are slightly higher now but they usually reduce them again at the weekend.

I couldn’t get the promos to stack unfortunately.
Thats annoying. The LG site can be a bit temperamental and sometimes have to try different browsers/clearing cookies and changing the order of discount codes etc. I had them stacked on a 77 B4 but going to wait and see if an offer on the C4 77 comes up for the brighter screen.

Yep it’s pretty terrible but I have had good success on my Mac / safari

Anyone noticed YouTube being all stuttering and buffering like mad on anything over 1080 res. It was always perfect for me on 4k fast and responsive... and I'm not sure if an update or something has broken it now.

Running on the C9.
Fixed it!

But then I see the G4 and that sounds like a proper step up

Not sure if going CX to C4 is really worth it, even with going up in size? Can't decide but also feel I can't justify the G4 cost at all regardless

I found to get the offer to work I had to accept cookies from the LG site, when I did this the codes both worked instantly. Got my 65" C4 for £1,096.

Is there a way to disable the LG channels on the C4? Couldn't find a setting last night.
For anyone wondering you can change the location of the TV's LG services to "other" and they will go.
