I hope you get sorted mate! I'd go mental without this monitor and being forced back to my tiny 23".
 
Yeah the problem is after having this ultra widescreen I really cant go for a 16:9 4k monitor as I just love the aspect ratio too much now lol. So theres no choice apart from the LG. Gaming is amazing on this. Iv been blasting though borderlands and some watchdogs and its so much more immersive compared to my old benq one.
I really don't need 144hz.
 
If you got the Colormunki then yeas it does the job just fine on a non hardware LUT display.

Matson at least you bought yours from a UK store!

Colormunki Display is the one for computer monitors. Spyder, unless someone confirms otherwise, Spyder probes have random accuracy issues with contrast ratio. I believe the latest higher model Spyders may have sorted this or are better but the Xrite probes are the most desirable because they're so accurate.
 
Yeah I used the i1 display pro. Calibrated my LG of course. My dads monitors. My best friends. My sony 55inch TV so it was definatly worth it compared to paying for calibration at least for me.
 
Never seen the Smile one before, looks like the old school type with organic filters which degrade over time. The newer Display model is a sealed unit and will last a lifetime.

I was somewhat on the fence about buying a calibrator, but have now gone and done so based on this. Here's hoping I get a similar result!
 
Nice to get independent verification though.

I mean, you have the one and only perfect 34UM95. Sod knows what other pixie dust and unicorn farts LG have stuffed into that thing!
 
I'll have my third on Wednesday.... Sigh lol. I made sure they send me one of the newest stock so it's more likely to be a more up to date revision. Not getting my hopes up though as these monitors have the worst uniformity iv seen in any monitor iv owned. Even ocuk think there pish lol.
Hopefully I'll be third time lucky.
