Hmm, just found 1kg of Chicken breast for 4.49

I do love SmartPrice....

As a side point, It seems you cook up the whole lot in preparation for the week ahead?

kd

Yep, cook it all and put into tubs. Majority goes in the freezer.

Dinner tonight was awesome. As mentioned earlier I'm trying to tidy up things in the evening so I'm getting good quality food.

300g sirloin cooked medium-rare, stuffed mushroom, onion rings and crunchy veg (beans, asparagus, leak and sugar snaps)

The steak with mushroom and veg looks well tasty. Good size for the steak as well.

In terms of chicken, not sure how much breasts weigh typically but I can get 12 chicken breasts from a local chain butcher (Gabbots for those up north) for £10. Or £4 for 4 breasts. Not tried them yet but going to pick some up next week when I've got through this weeks meat. :D

KD,

That looks like cottage cheese seasoned with salt and pepper or possibly even scrambled egg. I'm going to go with cottage cheese though as I think egg on rivita style breads is a bit wierd. :p

You can get a decent Salter pair for sub £20 from Argos.

Also, you should be looking at measurements rather than weight really :p

kd

I think most people use their eye and weight really, takes a lot less time!

Cheap-o scales will do you fine; you don't need an accurate measurement of your weight, more just be able to record the variance.

Yea not a fan of measurements tbh, I don't grow by massive amounts so there is too much room for error.

Today's 5/3/1 session is squats :D

90% 1RM 156
Warm-up (40%, 50%, 60%) - 62.5x5, 77.5x5, 92.5x3
Working Sets (65%, 75%, 85%) - 100x5, 117.5x5, 132.5x5+

DB Lunges - 5 x 10
SLDL - 5 x 8

Aiming for 9-10 reps on my last squat set. 9 reps gives me a 1MR of 170.4 which I know I can beat, 10 reps would give me 176.7. If some how 11 reps happens that would mean 183.5 1RM :)
