LiE's Diet and Training Thread

I'm just starting out on 5/3/1 as well with very similar figures to yourself, apart from bench because yours is ridiculous. This is the first time I've followed any structure and I must say I'm enjoying it more because it forces me into making an effort that I otherwise wouldn't.

If anyone else wants to give it a bash try the sheet below.

Yea that's the spreadsheet I use, it's done really well.
I'm also really enjoying the program, it makes sure I focus on the big lifts and not mess around with a ton of isolation accessories exercises. I love the last set and smashing out as many reps as possible, feels so good.

Can Lie, or anyone else post up an example of their weekly shopping list?

I seem to spend £100+ a week and get sweet F A!

=/

What are you buying and where is it coming from?

I get two packs of ten eggs for £2.20 or something, two 1kg bags of frozen chicken for £10. Then some wraps or pasta etc for lunches.

I also get 20 frozen sausages for under £2.

Can't help you with dinner mind :p Above is from Tesco

Dinners look something like this.
1. Steak + Steamed Veg + Stuffed Mushroom + Onion Rings
2. Fry up
3. Thai Curry
4. Chicken Breast + Ratatouille + New Potatoes
5. Pizza

Lunches I buy the following
2 x 1Kg Frozen Chicken
2 x Reggae Reggae Sauce
250g Almonds
250g Walnuts
6 x 1.5ltr Water
6 x Bananas
3 x 2ltr Semi Skimmed Milk
Porridge Oats
Wholemeal Bread

Stuff I buy from myprotein when it runs out.
Impact Whey Protein
Ultra fine oats
Peanut butter

Nailed deads tonight.
Last set got 8 reps at 170kg - this gives me a calculated 1RM of 211.08Kg, which is a 2.58% increase over last week :D

Chin ups were damn hard, think I'm going to switch the volume around a bit. Managed 10, 8, 7, 5.

So will try for 4x8 next week

For DB Rows I switched to the 40kg DBs, 10 reps of each side.. nuked me. Managed 3 sets instead of the prescribed 5, which felt enough.
