LiE's Diet and Training Thread

Can't train tomorrow so I'll be doing my chest deload tonight, which I'm looking forward to. Going to follow the deload linked above.

I've been off caffeine and pre-workout supplements since Friday last week. It's made me so much more hungry, but the day after I do feel more awake.

It's good because I can focus on form with a moderately heavy weight. Most of my form issues are high quality issues as you say, which I don't think I'll fix with light weights.

To make things a little more interesting I held the weight on my chest for 1 second before pushing each rep. It's something I'd like more time with but can't see how to fit it in with 531. Also, was thinking about grip witdth for CGBP, what width do you think is best? Most are very narrow and mean the elbow and wrist are at an inward angle.

CGBP is just narrower than normal. It's just that there isn't much point in doing it slightly narrower, but at the same time if you go too narrow the mechanics change too much.

I go for index finger on smooth, or there abouts.

Pretty much how I do it :)

Any further in my forearms would be pointing inwards.

The forearms are pointed inwards with that width. You'd have to have a grip which is essentially no less than shoulder width for your forearms to remain straight.

I meant painfully pointing inwards I guess, I tend to keep my elbows tucked in, works my tri's pretty well so can't moan :)

That along with French presses :o

Well you're either shoulder width or more in which case you forearms can stay straight, or not :)

Mr M..please share with me your stretching techniques, these need to be incorporated into my routines.

I have this week started doing a sort of arnie split of sort

- Chest & back - day 1
- Arms and shoulders - day 2
- Chest & back - day 3,
- Legs - day 4

No idea how it will go but it has felt good this week.

This is LiE's personal log, you might want to post that in gym rats if you want more people to see it.

If you know LiE and are posting specifically for him, ignore me!

What areas are you finding tight and that need work on? I don't see the point in stretching something unless it's a problem/limiting you in the gym. Right now I'm stretching my pecs and shoulders and pretty much all corners of my legs.
