LiE's Diet and Training Thread

Thanks PK :)
Just got squats left tomorrow then deload and onto cycle 4.
Things are going well, but it will be interesting to see how long the pace can be maintained. Also how well I can work 531 around breaks/holidays too without losing momentum.

I wouldn't mind giving it ago for the experience, not had much luck finding somewhere that I can go for a meet though.

Thanks. Looking forward to seeing your new 1RM when you test :)

Dom not sure I'll be able to do much in may/june, busy times for me.
Perhaps later in the year if there is anything. Which federation is that with? I didn't get a response from the 2 I tried a while back.

GBPF. If you want a hand getting it sorted I'll be happy to help.

Our plan is to do one of those comps, then nationals in August. I'll be up for another later in the year too if you fancy it.

In terms of lifting, I'm now peaking slowly. New maxes on the way :)

Yea think I'll be better off doing one later in the year. Is that with the same federation?

Yeah, otherwise I'll have to pay to join the BDFPA as well. I might do that next year though, there is a comp in Feb that my club always goes to that's BDFPA.

Last heavy day of cycle 3. Hoping to squat 162.5x9, which for me will be amazing. Never thought I would be doing this kind of weight for squats.

It's thanks to the advice icecold has given me. I used to squat like a douche and thought I was a boss doing 140x4... then I pulled something.

Cheers :)
Thinking of doing a little hammy stretching before squatting in addition to the pre-sqaut hip opener stuff.

The + set was so hard, but somehow I dug deep and pushed through it :)

Squats
WU - 67.5x5, 85x5, 102.5x3
WS - 127.5x5, 145x3, 162.5x9

Goblet Squats
32.5x8, 32.5x10, 32.5x10

RDL
80x10 x3

Calf Raises

50x10, 55x10, 55x10

Really need to work on some tight spots to get the full depth on goblet squats, still plenty of butt wink which I'm expecting. Should have plenty of time next week to hammer the stretches, especially hammys.

Video, in HD :) also no belt.

My final projected maxes for this cycle.
Military Press - 86.81kg
Deadlift - 232.80kg
Bench - 158.31kg
Squat - 208.98kg

Massive improvements over cycle 1, and even an improvement over my actual tested maxes at the end of cycle 2. Military press has dropped a little but only because my form has changed.
