ice any points you think I should work on tonight from my squat pause reps? I'm going to focus on keeping the knees from coming in when I push out of the hole.
 
They're pretty similar, but you need to be able to set up a box at the right height which is a pain unless you have the right kit.

The mechanics should be almost identical.
 
Went for a wider stance tonight to see how it felt and ripped my shorts in half lol
Wide was good though, but Syla was slacking so didn't have a video to see how it looked from behind.

Shorts ripped on the first rep of 150 which put me off! Went for a double on the 170 but didn't have enough left in the tank to get out of the hole. It gives me a good idea what weights to use next week. Pleased with 170 paused squat.

Pause Squats

60x8, 60x8, 100x6, 120x3, 140x3, 150x2, 170x1

Goblet Squat
32.5x8 x3

Speed squats
80x10 x4

Felt like I wanted to squat some more so did just that.

Next week for my paused squat and deadlift I'm going to pick a weight that I can do for 3-4 sets of triples now that I have a good idea of what I can lift.

Yea it was an explosive rip!

I was sharing the rack with some guy who told me I shouldn't go so low.. I said that's parallel mate...

I then tried to tell him his back was rounding at the bottom of his squat and he should try and push his knees out instead of directly forward... he told me he doesn't want to go wide and then ignored me lol

Rofl...Because pushing your knees out means going wide obviously.

I don't understand what these people think sometimes. I mean I'm doing a pretty decent weight paused at the bottom with good form and he tells me I'm going too low? Did it not occur to him that the reason I am lifting decent weight is because I AM going low enough...where is the logic?

It's not like I was doing a really light weight and he thought I need my form corrected to lift like a boss lol

Wider was good, my flexibility can handle it. I just need to a video from behind to make sure it looks tidy ;)

Felt some activation of the muscles on the outside of my thighs when pushing out of the whole which I don't normally get.
 
Maybe you are ok for now trying to show off. But if you continue to go so low eventually your knees will explode and you will be screwed. He will still be there bobbing with a smug expression on his face.
