lite beers... why don't we have them in our pubs?

I like both. I'm not one for just drinking ale and calling lager drinkers names. A cold lager is lovely on a warm day, but a room temperature Black Sheep is equally good on a cold day. Depends how I'm feeling, but I'm not going to snobbishly restrict myself to "real" ales only. That's not really what life is about.
 
I tried Titanics Captain smith's ABV 5.2%. once
never ever again as the saying goes way to strong for me hic :)
 
Oh, they sell light beers in all the gay bars.
Or wetherspoons places, which are awesome, the pubs are nearly always nice and so cheap.

Seriously though, why would you want to drink light beers, they taste like fizzy water, whenever someone buys budweiser or coors light from my till, i immediately lose all respect for them.
Infact, i'd prefer to get rid of it, get rid of the fizzy urine, free up tap space for beer and cider.
 
The only problem with light beers is that all the chemicals they put into them to make them half the calories give me a massive headache the next day.
 
Coors Light is absolutely nothing like Budweiser. Budweiser is crap, Coors Light has a taste. Have you ever tried it? I'm guessing you haven't regardless of what you claim.

it's not watered down tool (no more than any larger).... it's reduced sugar

all this 'real men' and 'gay' talk always comes from people with the small tackles and feel a little awkward trying to somehow increase there manhood by going 'grrrr' and 'real men' - bull crap, i like plenty of beers, ales, spirits, wines and ports and vary my drink, but i like a larger in the summer and prefer a reduced calorie one......... deal with it

I have tasted it, all it tasted like was fizzy water with a few chemicals thrown in, i expected it to be refreshing but it was just horrible, it tasted nothing like beer. A waste of 2 quid.
It's worse than budweiser, how people can drink these chemically, watery, american beers is beyond me.

it's insane how many people seem to think it's watered down Coors Light is actually stronger than most commercial lagers!
