This can only be good news, imo! To have gone from 'judgement unlikely' to 'Judgement tomorrow' after hearing Lord G and RBS's QC this afternoon, surely means a win is on the cards?

A judgement on this case is to be given tomorrow, not necessarily a resolution of the whole takeover saga.

Talksport - RBS reps, Purslow, Broughton and their QC's leave the court room. Seem very happy! Broughton gives a 'leaping fist-bump' from the bottom step.
-edit-
Talksport just corrected themselves - Wasn't Broughton who fist-bumped, but rather Grabiner.
What a leg' :D

Is the 'leaping fist-pump' a serious quote?

I just saw Sky's reporter practically chasing him out of court and in the scramble somebody tripped and Broughton put an arm out to stop him falling over. Not quite a fist pump.

It's unclear as to whether LFC will need a seperate hearing after tomorrow's judgement.

Initially it was thought that this hearing was simply to determine whether H&G could sack Ayres and Purslow and then after LFC would apply for a declaratory judgement. However it seems as if todays hearing has expanded to cover the whole issue.

Haha its Talksport :p so who knows!
It could have been a lunch time Pizza boy even, if you consider how often talksport get things right.

Just seen it on SSN. It was Lord Grabiner with the fist pump but it seemed more of an acknowledgement to the Liverpool fans outside the court rather than a victory salute.

Last update before the judge speaks:
@danroan: So many fans crushed into court some are being asked to leave: "can we appeal" shouts one to laughter.

I thought I read this morning online somewhere that H&G had all but given up on the club and were now willing to sell the club on.

Just hope the judge doenst take to long to deliver his verdict!

Just been on SSN that this Lim guy is suing the board for not considering his bid seriously. Expect a court hearing next week.

1) this reeks of Hicks stalling tactics.
2) Do we really want a guy like this running the club?

As Paul Kelso says, today is very unlikely to bring an end to this saga:

Whoever loses is certain to appeal. Hicks and Gillett have launched their own counter-suit against RBS and the board, while Broughton and the club have begun proceedings for a separate declaratory judgment approving the sale to NESV. Meanwhile the three potential buyers - NESV, Peter Lim and Mill Financial - could seek damages if their ambition to control Liverpool is frustrated.

Suing the board for what exactly! lol.

I said earlier on in this thread that I did wonder if Lim was batting for the other side!

Lim to **** right off and go back to running his Man Utd themed pubs.

Exactly, his bid came 'late' and the only proof we have, that he offered an improved offer "on time" was that he sent it to the owners ( ) directly, and not the board.

What a grade A ****.

-edit-

Same argument for this Mill Financial people. Why on earth did they send their bids to the owners instead of the board? and then if the owners want to sell so badly, why were they sulking and not consulting the other board members about these offers?
Answer: to **** them off, so they try to take legal action and delay the sale even more.

They can sue all they like, they are still entitled to sell to NESV if the judge rules in their favour today. RBS and the board were working to a deadline. The sale process has been ongoing for months now, if they were late that's their problem. It does look as though Hicks is behind it all though.
