Liverpool owners lose case in High Court
A judge has ruled against Liverpool's owners in a High Court decision that brings the club closer to being sold to the owners of the Boston Red Sox.
Judge Christopher Floyd ruled Americans Tom Hicks and George Gillett have no power to stop their boardroom rivals, who sanctioned the sale last week.
The board agreed to sell the debt-ridden Premier League club to New England Sports Ventures for £300m.
But the current owners claim the price undervalues the club.
