Its not sidelining the topic at all, one of the solutions is to address the fact that our government are indirectly helping these people to do this. You ask for short term gains, they could start with that, its part of the problem.

In my first post I gave my opinion of what the PM should have said rather than just enough is enough, He then took the topic onto how we are selling billions of pounds of weapons to rogue states etc, Why he did that I don't know but I responded by acknowledging that yes we are far from innocent but what we need to be doing is dealing with the problem we have here right now, Not excuses for why we deserve it and why they may hate us.
You literally talked about British Colonialism, when the quote was talking about supporting the likes of the Saudis?

I'm fully aware that the Koreans in Japan are not well treated by the Japanese majority despite having relatively similar cultures. Where did I say otherwise? Strangely the Korean's in Japan don't seem to be the source of lots of terror attacks despite prejudices they face it almost as if not all cultures are equally as good or malevolent?
My point was not that Japan had a sterling record for integrating people from even relatively similar cultures...they don't this is clear my point was that Japan doesn't a s solution 'need' the mass importation of people from thousands of miles away to function as a country. Of course modern demographics causes problems but a quick fix of 'lets import lots of people' and worry about any unintended consequences later is not the way to go. Anyway Japan much mike the UK could in the long term need to reduce its population to become a more sustainable society
bottom line japan has problems but is in better shape than western Europe

the solution is to stop almost all inward migration train your domestic workforce to cover the roles society needs and accept higher taxes to pay for social care and accept that people will have to pay more from their own savings for their care instead of passing vast amounts of wealth onto their mostly undeserving offspring.

Its not about the USA no, although thats also part of it. The UK government sells arms to and supports governments which then support these terrorists. May said just this week that she doesn't know if we have been sending monetary aid to North Korea, read that again. We have by the way but our PM says she's unsure.
