This country since the early naughties has lost respect for police and the youth of today feel invincible. Our police force has been stripped back to the bone. Facebook local town groups nationally are full of the same posts about youth behaviour being terrible and the police doing nothing. Jo public can't touch them as it gets recorded instantly on phones and you get arrested if you touch them. Many of them are carrying so you risk your own life over some kids literally who could be anything from 12/13 upto adults. I feel it is getting worse, despite that part of the problem these days is that social media allows more things to get reported and become publicly aware. I think there will at some point be a rise in vigilantism but as for the hardcore gangs in London, they live among a surreal underground in which they literally do what they want with no fear. There is no way to solve this problem easily and part of it comes from the way the UK is today in terms of poverty/hardship, entitlement/jealousy, capitalism. Youth feel that an easy path is to follow others into gang mentality.
I find it hard to comprehend that there are many kids and teens out there that want to go out armed with a knife to stab someone to death. Just say that back to yourself. It's just mental.

Tbf in a lot of these cases it is the "ease" or the unintended side effects.
It's so much easier to pull a trigger in anger and instantly regret it vs stabbing someone repeatedly while they try to physically fight you ogf
The problem is the young have lost respect for all adults but what do you expect when you have an establishment that has drilled it into young (the most easily influenced) people that they know better than adults who are ignorant/racist/stuck in the past etc.
When they've been repeatedly told that their opinions are superior why wouldn't they ignore adults/seniors and fall victim to groups like BLM who put on a front of fighting racism whilst sowing division and attacking law and order? Greta Thunberg pretty much personifies this idea that's been perpetuated that young people know best. Many young people today will tell you that the police are all racist oppressors (because it's all they've heard in the corporate media) and so they need to carry knives in self defence, at the same time police have been systematically castrated from within by political correctness.

They're just bad boys stuck in an arms race. As others carry, they have to. Better to have and not need and all that.
Most of these are not people pulling the trigger and regretting it, its mainly gang warfare.

Seriously though, what makes a person so compelled to roadrage? In the 20 years I've been driving and I see anything stupid, I just roll my eyes and shake my head. I honestly don't get so many people that take it so personal. They're as bad as some gamers. The exact same mindset.

There seems to be a lack of self discipline and self respect these days that as led to many young people feeling insecure in their own identity. Society isn't giving them guidance. Gangs are taking its place providing a hierarchy and giving them something they can belong to.
Kids are growing up too quickly while their minds are immature because they lack the life experience context of what they are learning about.
There is a good video by Sa Ra Garvey that is about BLM and the black community. I can't link directly here as there is some swearing in the video. But he says why are people in the black community saying black lives matter then making excuses for black people killing other black people?

I've only encountered it once. Some cretin chased me into a car park, and got out to "have a word". Once I unfolded myself from my tiny car he reconsidered, as I was about 6 inches taller than him, and outweighed him by four stone.

No I'm not the one calling London or Birmingham a **** hole. This isn't the first thread you've made such a claim. I've simply posted facts that show that Florida is a far bigger **** hole than London or any UK city by your standards. You've told us in the past how amazing Florida is and how well it is run. Well compared to Florida, London is incredibly safe.
As for knives over guns
are you serious? You think its worse facing a knife than a gun? The fact that so many more people of killed in Florida where guns are available tells you that guns are a far more serious threat to life. As per usual you've made some outlandish claim and then tried to squirm out of it (badly). Does London have a problem with knife crime? Yes it does. Is it an epidemic, no it isn't. Compared to the USA its a very safe place to live. I should know I've lived here for 27 years now.

No way I'd chose a bullet over a knife. All that kinetic energy that a bullet has and a fair amount can be transferred to your flesh as it penetrates. Soft tissue damage can be horrendous, especially if it tumbles. Yeah a knife can be deadly if you are stabbed in the right place but its no contest for me.
