Dal Babu, a former chief superintendent in the Metropolitan police, said naive, impressionable young people were being “swept up” by online content.

“Politicians are too afraid to take on big tech companies. How do you go and deal with companies who are making billions of pounds profit from these algorithms, and the advertising that comes from them?”

He said young people were the victims. “They are naive, impressionable and are being swept up by media companies.

“There needs to be some financial penalties to tech companies who allow these messages to go viral and spread. They need to have a system in place to stop these events.”

Without truly radical changes the more genteel folk of England, living in more rural areas, probably have 15 to 20 years tops to enjoy a somewhat pleasant and undisturbed life. City dwellers much less time, so make the most of it.

As the third world empties into Europe with its more liberal citizens hailing the never ending exodus as wonderfully enriching time is of the essence before the country becomes as lawless as South Africa and other areas where necessary control has been given away.

Good. Life is too boring and safe, needs more pizazz and spontaneous blood sports. Especially for rural folk who may as well be ghosts.

Currently in Berlin and it's absolutely amazing. Only been two days but so far I've not found any reason for us not to move here, and many reasons to do it. I'm already looking at rent and jobs :eek:

It was just an example, something that kids have done long time since to earn money.

It doesn't involve stabbings people or mugging them - which would vilify them.

You can create positive pr by doing positive things. Take control.

My first phone was from Sony Ericsson courtesy of a load of ringpulls and money I managed to save up by working in a warehouse in the summer holidays picking and packing.

I didn't steal one, I earned it.

My family were poor, I didn't have a games console or a computer until I could afford it myself.

We have people coming here from all over the world because it is so easy to get money for basics, it is almost impossible to be penniless.
