I tend to vist the Airsoft Armoury they have two shops now.

I prefer being able to hold the things before I buy.

I bought of the internet a couple of times and found the toy uncomfortable and awkard to use.

Airsoft Dynamics are a good on-line retailer.

Tbh I'd say it is 10 times more fun then paintballing. In p'balling, youve got some big ugly mutha of a gun. In airsofting, youre holding what looks like a real M16 ect and it really gets the adrenaline going. Ive youve got a good team then its quality. Just watch out for the guys that camp with 450fps sniper rifles, they hurt!!!

any one got the adress for the glos site ??

have to go play a few games see if its as fun as paintballing.

It looks good but if you hold it you might be disappointed.

I personally don't like it.

If you want to be a sniper you are better getting a bolt action one, they are more reliable that the electric PSG-1 IMHO of course.

I recently sold an upgraded version of this...

If i like it ive always luved sniping :)

what are prices per games like?

Depends on the site... walk ons vary from £10 - £15 although on big site does charge £50 but that is for a full weekend (Friday night to Sunday pm) with training as well.

When you work out the hours played then the £50 isn't a bad deal... ;)

That website zerooneairsoft has a really nice looking watch which is in the form of a carribena, might get it cos it looks mint. :D

Even got a compass, if i, erm, get lost

But £15 quid aint bad, and i'm sure it'll be able to take some punishment. Oh and btw, damn nice M4 :D

can i ask why??

surely if you took this out of your house you'd be arrested?

Why not?
Why do people paintball?
Why do people paint?
Why do people add more and more fans and then watercool?

It is a game and a way to run around and escape from the normal life, plus I find it fun.

If you walked down the street carrying on openly then yes you would get arrested and face a long term in prison.

If you walked down the street carrying one and it was in a bag and you had a reason for carrying it (going to and from a game) then there is not an issue if you are stopped and searched.

The thing is with these toys there is a need to be responsible.

This is one of the reasons many of the UK retailers will no longer sell to under 18s, there are no laws in place, it was just the retailers trying to ensure that there was a level of responsibility in the purchase.

There is no age limit to using them, so parents/guardians can buy for their kids...

I have just upgraded my TM M4A1...

Metal Body, CA one peice Barrel, Metal Piston head along with the metal bushings, 1j spring & TN Bareel I had a whole ago... Solid as a rock now.

Airsoft, great hobby.

What would be the best pistol to get, all my neighbours have pistols and they hurt and i want to get in on the fun, they use them in the field at the bottom of the road.:)

I am assuming you have permission to be running around on private property with them, that you are not in full view of the public and that adequate eye protection is being worn.

The I would consider the KWA Glock 19 from the Airsoft Armoury, £65 + free delivery.

Gas is around £7.99 a time and you can get 2000 BBs for under a fiver these days.

Extra magazines are more expensive due to the values and supply & demand but in the UK you can get them for around 21 - 25 pounds.

The G19 is simple to use and cheap. Still is a good gun and the slide does make a good sound when it cycles.

Oxford, nice pictures.

I am not going to mention my kit the list gets far too long and little depressing when I think about how many computers I could have bought! ;)

lol, does get kind of like that.

I have tried to keep it as simple as possible... Just cant affoard it all else, with MTB, computing, ice hockey! need a massive bank account.

Along with an 8mm 8inch barrel Magnum :)

and my rifle is a Stoner SR16M4 with the full Systema tune up kit.

To quote Clarence Bodicker....

"State of the art...BANG BANG."

where did you get that baretta? how much and does it fire those shells (load bb into the shell then shell into the clip?)

Nice purchase there.

I got myself an MP5 SD6 some time ago but have never used it on a skirmish.

I have just arranged an Airsoft trip with people at work and some of my mates for mid-November at a site in Surrey. Looking forward to it now and also persuaded some of the guys to purchase side arms for our backup :)

Ordered 4x Glock 18C GBB, + 1 spare mag each from WGC. Got the L2 upgrade with the metal slide/barrel/hi-flow valves/springs etc. Came in as ~£144 for each set all in with shipping, import duty (yeah got caught) and the actual items purchased.

Anyone been to Firefight in London? Looked at the site last night - they do games on Tuesday evenings in Angel, Central London from 7pm. Looks pretty damn good. Will try and go along one time soon but will probably need to get a little more gear and clothing first.
