Looks like she is gone/going! (Mustang Sold)

I've never once personally insulted you so I would appreciate it if you would extend me the same courtesy.

I merely found it amusing that people were glad it had gone to an enthusiast when, as a true enthusiasts car, it would never have gone to anyone other than an enthusiast.

i entirely agree

you dont buy a tuned 550bhp LHD mustang to pop to the shops and back do you ?

it was only ever going to be bought by an enthusiast as its just not a car that somebody like that would look at

you've got to be bit of a petrol head to put up with LHD imho :)

Hi there

You say put up with LHD? Once you've got use to it then there is nothing to put up with. The guy who is buying it has owned an LHD and RHD GT3, he says the LHD even had some advantages and never found it a problem.

Obvious problem with LHD is when it comes to overtaking larger vehicles that you can't actually see through, but apart from that its fine.

Lets be honest Gibbo, you are a true enthusiast, but you do sometimes come over a little over zealous about your car.. almost a little showyoffy (if thats a proper word!)

Theres no harm in taking pride in what you own, or showing off what you have if you can afford it.

If you had the same car, would you just keep it to yourself and not talk about it? I know i wouldn't!

Its no different to Fox talking about how great his new tyres are on his BMW, or how Drexel updates us with bits done to his Teg.

The list could go on but you get the idea :)

True plus I would rather see 5 threads about the Mustang than 3 threads on spec me tyres on my 1.1 Fiesta or wow look at my (insert generic car here) for the third time thread, that is just my opinion of course. :)

Shame it has gone but at least you can get something different and keep the vast majority of us entertained with new threads and pictures.

He's got an AC Cobra.

It's such a shame I live so far away from OcUK, means I'll never get to see the 'stang in the flesh. Hopefully though Gibbo, you'll go for the Z06 and I'll get to a RR and get to see one of those monsters...or take a special trip up to OcUK just to stand in awe. :p

My personal view of you is someone that really loves cars, and can afford to own the cars you wish to own as a child. If I were you mate, I'd deffinatly get the Z06, BMW are just too common and as has been said, you are the LHD American car owner!

I'm glad it's gone/going to a good home and will be enjoyed by the new owner (even if it is for just 6-12 months as you say).

thats what i meant

when overtaking on A roads obviously your going to be completely blind.

obviously if you love you car, this isnt a problem to put up with for the sake of something like a supercharged mustang

but when your after a commuter vehicle / something to nip down the shops in, why would you bother with a LHD car when there are RHD ones just as good ?

of course that doesnt apply to you, as there arent many RHD 550bhp mustangs ;)

True, but in the same breath you can't expect people to not post what they're proud of, just because it didn't cost £XXX or doesnt go XXX to 60.

:)

I am expected not to post threads and pictures about my car. When I do so, I get 10 page threads on how I'm sad and above my station, or how I have no self esteem, or whatever other made up crap they can think of. Consequently, when a few months ago I spent 2 days detailing my car I didn't bother to do a big thread on how I did it and how it went, simply becuase the backlash is not worth the effort. Meanwhile others are free to post 'Just washed the car'....

Oh I don't mind people posting there new motors, even if they cost 50p as I am sure that they love their car just as much as Gibbo loves his.

However there are only so many threads you can do on a mundane everyday car, that was my point.

well what do you expect, you do drive a BMW;)

i dont mind people bigging up their cars at all on here. thats why i post here and read what others say. i dont have opportunity to drive every car, so i enjoy hearing about others experiences with them too. i certainly dont mind talking up my car, at every opportunity either. having a car is something that people should rightly feel proud of. and they should be able to feel proud in sharing their experiences here on this very forum!

sorry fox, get over it pal, maybe if you didnt have such an elitist attitude towards every post, you wouldnt have such a backlash to all your threads.

Back on topic. I drove my mates GT3 again this morning, Porsche keeps growing on me, Pity its slightly out of your price range (im assuming) as its an animal!

No, your expected not to post pictures and threads on your car because you will recieve the same treatment that you dish out to others :)

Do you play the victim all the time or is it just in Motors?

as you keep saying, this is a forum and people do have opinions. Not everyone is going to agree with you.

I think the point trying to be made is that Fox isn't exactly unforgiving in his 'opinion' and often insults people with what he says, but then he doesnt expect the same level of comments in threads he posts, as its just people returning him the favour.

HI there

Its within my price range as is the Turbo and both are getting test drives with in the next two weeks. :)

I think you will love the GT3. Is the 997 in your price range? My knowledge of the different porsches is limited due to not really being interested in them.

I just know that the one i drove is pearl white, 997 GT3 with all the extras, Carbon Ceramic brakes, carbon race seats etc etc. Its a serious weapon :D
