**Lost Odyssey Official Thread**

The system for LO is different from other RPGs, it will level you up when you need to be leveled up, you cant grind, except to learn skills. If 1 party member gets to say level 38 and other are at low 30s (happens late in disc 3, unavoidable), the game will level everyone else up once per battle, untill they are within 2 levels of the higher level team mate, then a rate of 50/100 exp untill they are level. When the game sees your level as adequate it will gain you exp at a rate of 3-5 per battle.

For the person having trouble with living ice, you need to use physical attacks, spells are pointless, just get everyone bar mack and whoever else has spirit magic in your team to cast zephyr(a) the spirit users except mack should cast powerus and speeda on mack (only needs to be done ones), preferably cast some shieldus and baracadus if you have them, normal shield of baracade is fine enouh though, this boss has approx 10k hp and mack with combo can deal 1400 damage per turn with powerus. This boss is quite managable.

Im about 3/4 through disc 2, does any one else think that there are too many wizards in the party? I want more ass kickers! Bring on the swords.

You can never have too many wizards!!

I remember playing through BGII with a party of 6 Wizards. Was my greatest ever achievement!

My copy arrived yesterday, about 3 hours in so far. Is there no world map to explore in this game? So far it seems to be using the Final Fantasy 10 method to move around the map. :(

Well it is made by Sakaguchi. :D Definitely feels like a cross between FFVIII and X so far to me, just started the 2nd disc now.

Would prefer a world map, but I can live without it.

I just hope the other discs are longer than the first.

Our friends over at 360 Fanboy got word that an exclusive offer at ***.COM will net you a free 1000MSP bonus at the time of full payment and receipt of the game. That's a pretty sweet deal on quite an amazing game. If you're in Europe and planned to pick this one up this week, might want to take advantage of this.

I've said it many times, but this game is awesome and a must for any RPG fan. Heck, any video game fan in general. Can't go wrong with that AND 1000MSP, to boot. Do it.

You know!! The high-street store with 3 letters, popular for dvds and music :D

says on their site too:

exclusive
pre-order Lost Odyssey and get 1000 Xbox Live points FREE

anybody know if its a site only offer or can i go in store?

The problem with that site is you order it and it might come midway through the week after its released. I just couldnt be doing with the waiting. Im still waiting for my copy from HK, its been about 10 days now so it should come either today or tomorrow......hopefully:p. Oh well aslong as it comes on or before friday

Well iv been Had by play-asi4.com its been 13 days since they shipped Lost Odyssey...i emailed them to get the reply it may be 17days until i recive my game...im sure it said 5 to 10 days. If i had know the delivery was this bad i would have paid an extra £5 to get it here faster.

Any one had any luck getting refunds from play-asi4? I dont want to get to friday and not have it as i dont think i could not buy it :P

It might be hard if they've already shipped it, guess you will just have to be patient

I ordered from the same place so i guess that means mine will take centuries to arrive also :p

Wouldnt it still be worth waiting for the superior packaging assuming you bought the Japanese version?

Mine has just shiped today using the courier service, it would be nice if it got here by Friday but I was mainly interested in the better box as Ive owned a few games with 4-5 discs that are packed like the Euro/US version and they tend to... realy suck. :(

Airmail:

This shipping option is available for smaller shipments with a weight below 2kg. Airmail shipments are carried out through your local post office. Though we ship out all Airmail parcels insured and registered, there is no online tracking facility available for this service. It usually takes around 5 to 14 days for Airmail shipments to arrive to your destination. However, under certain circumstances it can take up to 4-5 weeks.

They do have it mentioned on their site, just not when you select the delivery options... if i knew mine was also going to take a few additional weeks i would have paid for a better delivery service and got it a few days ago
