they have allot of loose threads to tie up in the 17 episodes that are left in season 6 come 2010.

Actually, anyone read this ? http://www.filmfodder.com/tv/lost/ best lost blog out there! Makes you think even more!! ARGH I would pay quite a lot of money to see the next season!!! They should already have season 6 in the back wings and if you want to see it be expected to pay, what money they could make!!

Didn't they used to start airing the next season in September during season 3 and 4? Like they showed the first 7 or 8 episodes from September up to December and then the rest from January/February to May/June (when the show used to have 24 episodes per season).

Yeah it is 6. That finale just gave up what it is all about, so I'm guessing season 6 only needs to cover why it is about that and resolve it and we're done ^^

yeh if you read into lost like a lot of people do you know whats vaguely going on. though it seems to be a mixture of various scenarios.
