Lost Season 5 (Sunday, Sky1, 9PM)

To think how the story stared, I could have never imagined they would be lost in spacetime on a island.

Kudos to the writers though as far fetched as it seems.

Yeah it's pretty crazy how it's come along. Way back at the start most poeple were like 'Oh it's castaway' then 'Oh its Jurrasic park' then 'Oh umm.... what?'

I said lord of the flies personally but yeah take your pick.

Its just impressive how it fits together though. scary almost.

The dialogue between Hurley and Chang was epic :D
Locke's last words in that episode were shocking. I was speechless for about a minute after the episode ended. He is completely unpredictable now.
Can't wait for the two hour finale :D

To be honest, I wasn't that impressed with the latest episode, various places said it would be a Richard-centric episode and to me it was far from it. Sets it up nicely for the season finale next week though. Hurley delivers his lines perfectly. :)

looking forward to the finale, ive much preferred this season to the last as its delved or should i say teased us with more of the overall dharma/island story.

Im hoping the finale delivers some decent information, the official podcast says there will be some 'crucial information' towards constructing a whole theory behind whats happening in the show. Fingers crossed.

Also shame they killed Faraday, i found him to be one of the most interesting characters, and as for Hurley im sorry but...someone shoot him theres thick and then theres Hurley.

Agree with that.

The show has definately shifted gear this series, but season 5 has also lacked any real story arc, which has hurt it quite badly.

Would definitely agree with this. The writers had on their hands a great plot device in the form of time travel which they seem to have completely failed to use.

This entire season doesn't seem to have achieved very much and the characters seemed to mostly meander about for lack of anything better to do, it had all become quite boring. However, I will admit that these last few episodes have definitely grabbed my attention again now that there is at least some goals for the characters to attain like kill jacob or nuke the island from orbit.

The major problem as I see it is this whole "whatever happened, happened" craic which basically means that no-matter what the characters do we already know how everything pans out and that removes a lot of tension from the show.

Why would you just admit, out loud, to an repeatedly untrustworthy person, whilst surrounded by a group of people that are most likely still somewhat unsure about you, that your intention is to kill somebody who is considered extremely important to them, to an almost mystical level of reverence?

"Hey, Judas, gonna stick around after the meal for some beers?"
"Nah, I'm off to help the Romans capture Jesus dude"
"Oh cool, no worr... hey wait a sec!"
"Ah crap"
