...so far. There have been some absolute clangers this year, but surely this is the worst game of 2023?

Its all about preordering wisely imo. To give an example, I've preordered Warhammer Roguetrader (on the basis that I loved Pathfinder 1 and 2), that preorder gets me beta access from June 1st right up until the moment of release. So potentially a few months of uninterrupted beta access. At any time in that period, I can get a full refund. So by preordering, I get unrestricted access to the whole of Act 1 of the game and every class. Sort of a fully unrestricted , very extended, demo. In terms of that particular title, there is literally no downside for me to my preorder but plenty to gain by being able to check the game out fully for a few months before making a decision to keep the game for release or opt for a full refund. And people still preorder.
I dont see a downside to the preorder I mentioned above, nothing I lose out on by doing that particular one. Maybe I've missed something obvious with that preorderThere is no wise preorder.
I've got no problem with preorders which benefit me, which of course the Roguetrader one does. Preorders that have no benefit to them of course is a different kettle of fish but the Roguetrader one is full of benefit to me. Like most things in life, its rarely black and white.Every preorder encourages preorders. There must be no preorders.
Unless it is HL3
Has anyone played this here? The lack of activity in this post, aside from to laugh at it or talk about other things is quite telling.
