I'm not bothered whether they did or didn't. As I said, I'd be interested to hear his response.

You only have to read the comments section of every Daily Mail article on their website to see what UKIP are doing.

Every article gets spammed with "Vote UKIP!" within seconds of being posted.

Even better....

UKIP employed Irish actor David O'Rourke to pose for their posters. :D

Bloody foreigners, coming over here, posing as hard-working Brits.

LOL

Old Nige is so very keen to distance the party from the embarrassing nutters that keep committing political suicide

Still better than the traditional parties.

Andre Lampitt posts a few dodgy tweets = Sacked

Maria Miller commits fraud and steals thousands from the public purse = Backed to the hilt by her leader and only resigned after being hounded out by the media.

Lol

UKIP were just as bad as the rest on the expenses scandal - Tom Wise?
nice selective memory though...

trying to claim that UKIP is above all that is completely ridiculous when they clearly were just as bad as the rest

Exactly ukip mep's are using their office expense allowance to fund the party, no better than the rest of them. It's laughable that farage is marketing himself as a straight talking down with the people politician, when he's just a spoilt rich boy like camoron etc.

When MEPs voted to ban roaming charges and allow us to use our mobile phones without extra fees in the entire EU from December 2015, the legislation was passed with 534 votes for and only 25 douchebags voting against it. And as you might have guessed, all UKIP MEPs were part of the douchebag bunch opposing this legislation and thus once again voting against interests of British people. Good work Yew Kip, you bunch of miserable motherlovers!

That UKIPs mind set, anything and everything to do with RU is evil.

Save UK by voting ukip, haha that's a good funny title. They wouldn't do anything of the sort and would decimate this country.

And haha at slipped through the nets, he's just like the majority of ukip members.

Hate foreigners, gays or elephants? Want to pay disproportionate roaming charges? Vote UKIP!

So now people that do not use roaming will be paying for it with higher charges, great.

Looking through results of votes on votewatch I am more and more surprised just how daft UKIP MEPs are. Did you know they also voted against legislation standardising mobile phone connectors (you know, the charger/data microUSB thing as used by all androids, nokias, etc). Who TF would vote against something like that?
They also decided to boycott legislations to do with net neutrality in Europe (for example failed to turn up to vote this month to do with disallowing US model where Google or Netflix can pay ISPs for faster access to the network and effectively slowing down competition ).

I'm not sure any government should intervene with stuff like that. Why would anyone try to design a high speed charging port that can charge a phone in 10 minutes now?

Where does it stop? Its meddling for meddlings sake.

This is it in a nutshell, the mobile companies will assess the hit to their bottom line and make the needed adjustments. That's why I was flabbergasted that the idiots at Labour told everyone they were going to freeze energy prices over a year before they actually can, the only way anything that can work is to announce a freeze that comes into effect straight away that nobody knew about.

No government should be demanding that any non state owned company makes products in a certain way or charge a certain price, they should just ensure that the free market forces have every chance to operate without corruption.

Absolute rubbish!

Without government controls there would be no such thing as product safety. Why spend all that money developing a car with crumple zones, air bags, seat belts or petrol tanks that don't explode on impact. Why bother spending billions testing drugs to make sure they are safe or testing electrical equipment wont malfunction shock the user.

Governments absolute have to dictate want companies can and cannot do, otherwise everything would be about maximizing profit which is the last thing you want in a free market.

In the mind of the free-market man though, car companies would make their cars safe because it would be bad for their reputation if they don't which means lost sales.

Not my argument, but just saving someone else typing it.

Euro NCAP is a voluntary organisation created by the free market which is not government run, your point reinforces my point. Governments recognise it as a standard because it turned out to be very good and actually made a lot of sense. Of course governments should set safety rules and laws to be adhered to, but demanding a certain type of charger because they like it and a few MP's can't be bothered to look around the house for their cable is not needed. USB was already pretty much the standard.

The reality is the car companies will estimate the cost of making a safe car vs the cost bad press and marketing campaigns. See Ford Pinto scandal.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Pinto

Furthermore if all competitors are making equally unsafe cars then their may be no advantage in making a safe car - the cost will be much higher and it will be unlikely met with increased sales.

The legislation is completely unnecessary, all of the major players have already signed up to standardise to MicroUSB anyway - before the EU even thought of it.

Safety requirements and standardizations are legally defined by governments. See the British Standard http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Standards
And the US has the Federal vehicle standards:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Motor_Vehicle_Safety_Standards
It is illegal to manufacture and sell a vehicles that does not conform to these safety standard.

You are wrong, admit it like an adult.
