Saw the title and honestly thought this was some kind of troll....but no
Nevertheless, opinion polls indicate that they are on course to win 30% of the vote in next month's European elections. They shouldn't be dismissed.

didn't they win that much last time?
tbh I don't think the euro polls get even half the votes of the GE imo the best place for farage is another country too he can't do any damage there
They should be dismissed they are a joke and do not have enough representatives to form for at least the next GE any real threat.
I struggle to see how they can dethrone the tories and labour from the seats in my region and they have even less chance in the larger cities. it's fringe towns that will vote for them and they will be eaten up by voting lines in most instances.
my home town could vote for who it dammed well pleased the tories would get in on the cotswold vote by such a margin that the towns population couldn't counter it.
Same goes for Cardiff central when i was as tudent of approx 40k votes 30k are labour and lib dems 7k tory and 1200 ukip they aint got a chance in hell of pickign up 4k from each of the the 3 parties to win that seat and the rest of cardiff is so heavily labour it's funny.
UKip get the eurovote becuase no one cares enough to stop them farage has been doing it since 2001 it's nothing new at all.
What's with all the foaming mouth accusations of them being homophobic, racist etc? It's getting boring when the lefties throw these accusations around just because they don't like a party's point of view. UKIP != BNP.
I'd guess this forum being full of computer enthusiasts will likely be slightly further to the right of the population due to the increased socio-economic class of the kind of people who enjoy high end computer hardware.Does this forum have a political stance or is it mixed? As I've noticed a lot of times there's so much noise from the left...
As all I seem to see for months now is so many trying to run a mob and branding people as racist over the smallest and trivial thing or if a discussion doesn't go to some peoples point of view. That and I see a lot of easily riled up people like the reaction of football supporters telling them their team sucks and all hell breaks loose.
It's like watching children throwing a tantrum.
Horrible idea, the average person doesn't know enough about each issue to make an informed decision.in a true democracy there should have been put to a referendum of the whole country, any law that't not security critical should be put to a referendum.
A think a different outcome would have happened.

What's the point of having a domain of expertise if we just go with mob opinion of important issues?.

Conservatives would be my estimate as the most popular party, with right-wing core economic values with quite liberal social attitudes (towards race/sexuality) - making UKIP unappealing to a majority of the forum on both sides of the political spectrum.
Sometimes you wouldn't think it reading the comments from so many for months. More so than ever before.
UAF is an awful organisation and just as bad as BNP etc
Militant left is just as dangerous but socially acceptable and openly supported by the media.
Does this forum have a political stance or is it mixed?
I can't help but shake the feeling that UKIP basically represent the views of the Daily Mail.
