Free speech does not extend to vilification and incitement to violence.

I never said it was. Trying telling that to all the hatred keyboard warriors across social media and so on. The abuse is really something.

So many people twist free speech and silence others through a mob when they don't get their views. Or jump on racism. It was the same watching Newsnight last night. The distorted views of the Labour woman.

You fellas need to relax. And fear not, when election time comes around Cameron would start squawking about immigration and the need to be 'tougher'. Labour would do the same and UKIP would be instantly forgotten.

racist!, homophobic!, xenophobic!
Typical left wing tactic to try to shut down a discussion about something that goes against what they believe in, and how dare people analyse or question them.
Same with Global warming really, just different words and appeals to their own chosen authority.

UKIP are just getting in their way and they do not like it, hence the vitriol in their comments.
You do realise that many of the people critical of them are actually right-wing conservative voters (who just happen to find their manifesto laughable).

I take it you are a global warming sceptic, tell me - which data-set did you analysis to come to that conclusion?.

Very true and you know what? People are tired of the left-liberals yelling those words, it's a broken record and people are no longer listening. That's why UKIP are gaining ground

Lol, UKIP are so far to the right that EVERYONE except the BNP are left wing by comparison, UKIP is founded in xenophobic beliefs, it's an integral part of the party, saying other wise is like saying the "keep England white" campaign wasn't racist.

UKIPs politicians are pretty much all racist and/or homophobic because that's the type of politician the party attracts, it's quite comical that your trying to deny this when so much conclusive evidence has been posted in the thread, hell most of it is direct quotes.

I'd guess this forum being full of computer enthusiasts will likely be slightly further to the right of the population due to the increased socio-economic class of the kind of people who enjoy high end computer hardware.

I'm not convinced social class is the issue. Have a look at the data from the last election.

There's not that much stratification by social class, with only the lowest class voting significantly differently. However, if you look at men-by-age, you see a significant right wing bent in the 25-34 age group.

A lot of people only vote if they have an axe to grind over a particular issue.

If you are happy with the status quo or understand "it really isnt that important who runs the country because they are all liars" then you abstain or don't bother.

I guess unemployment was/is higher among that age group so they got off their asses and vote to see if it makes any change. The right wing Parties tend to offer the "British jobs for brits et al" nonsense that is so easily digested by the "unfortunate" younger men.

This thread should never have been moved to GD. It should be in Speaker's Corner.

Completely agree with the posts on this page about how the OCUK forums are perceived. It is so very sad to see how much bigotry is tolerated on this forum. Doesn't even get challenged let alone moderated.

More telling is your opinion based on the data set from uea that had been proven to be tampered with?

Well I think most of the longer-term posters do challenge it and stuff does get moderated it just seems to be some categories of prejudice that apply though if the mods don't see it as a problem personally then it's fair game. I would also agree that the longer-term posters with a few notable exceptions tend to be somewhat left in outlook on most issues bar ones related to finance.
