I think overclockers has the most left leaning members of any forum I go on.

This place has a decent mix, it's just that the few left leaning people make a lot of noise compared to others.

The most left forum I visit is neogaf. I actually got perma banned because during a discussion about transsexuals I said that in my opinion you will always be the sex you were born as. You still have either the XX or XY chromosome and that cannot be changed.

So farage is running scared from the Newark election cos he knows hen can't win and it will annihilate ukip before he general, shame was hoping he was gonna go for it ;)

You mean after Patrick Mercer got sacked over the cash-for-questions scandal?
If he did you would only call him a opportunist. And this +calling Tory\labour people names is the best you can do?

Best of luck to your green party.

So basically it's just a bunch of moaning idiots thinking it's racist and no one actually being racist? Sounds about right.

This forum did have a reputation for being racist, it was a combination of things.
The previous owner said some choice things once or twice, and they never censored some of the crap that people said.
I.e DirtyDog didn't get perma'd for a LONG time despite the fact he was a massive racist

But credit to the mods, they've definitely changed this place around.

Not sure if this deserves it's own thread

BY JACK MONROE.

177 of the MPs that voted YES to the Bedroom Tax on Tuesday evening, claimed up to £25k EACH in their own “spare bedroom” expenses.

One of the highest claims, Nigel Adams whopping £25k in 2012-13, could pay the Bedroom Tax for up to 30 families in his constituency for a whole year.

Richard Bacon’s constituency is a three hour commute from the House of Commons, yet his accommodation expenses bill averages £450 a week.

Stephen Barclay’s constituency in Cambridgeshire is less than two hours away – and he has the fifth highest claim on the list at over £24,000 last year.

No I'd watch him get annihilated in a safe Tory seat

It's not my Green Party I said I'd vote for them not give them money or I may spoil my ballot

Would you fancy travelling 4 or 6 hours a day just to get to and from your job?

No MP's voted YES to a "bedroom tax", it's a reduction in housing benefit for people with big houses who are under occupying.

So you think he should get up at 4-5AM and go to bed after midnight just to save the taxpayer £450 a week? I would rather have an MP that was fit/able to do their job than one that zombified itself to try and save a couple of quid.

So he's damned if he does damned if he doesn't. I think it was a smart move not to run because he knows he'll have his day soon enough. No person in their right mind runs a race they know for sure they won't win. And if he ran i bet you £100 you would have said he was an opportunist.

Sorry but he's not as politicly simple-minded as you are

I think OCuk's reputation for racism comes from when Spie was running the show. He often said racist remarks and allowed others on the forum to follow his lead.

The forums improved once he took a back seat and then finally sold the company. The racist reputation takes a lot longer to shake off though.

OCuk is a big forum and it's only natural that people with all views are going to post. There are certainly more vocal right-wing people on this forum than any other I visit. I don't think that there's a particularly right-wing bias though.

racist!, homophobic!, xenophobic!
Typical left wing tactic to try to shut down a discussion about something that goes against what they believe in, and how dare people analyse or question them.

True. But what you're not saying is that what the left wing believe in is racial equality, gay rights and multiculturalism. Would you care to explain how you can disagree with one of those things without being either a racist, a homophobe or a xenophobe?
