Low performance on Cyberpunk2077 using DLSS Performance and Rt ultra ,rtx 4090

why are people using ultra ray tracing on a 4090? turn that up to Pyscho

As has been said by others above, you aren't getting high gpu usage because you are running at 1440p. A 4090 IS WASTED RUNNING 1440P.
absolute rubbish I'd like to see a 3080/90ti play cyberpunk maxed out Pyscho RT and get over 100fps at 3440x1440
turn DLSS off and above settings is like 80fps perfect 1440p gaming :S

wasted sounds like bitterness and jealousy

If you want to argue no games at a ny res warrant spending 1600+ on a gpu then I'm in agreement claiming there's a big diff between 1440p and 4k is a bit much

Most games will bottleneck the 4090 severely at 1440p. Furthermore, this guy isn't even running 1440p, he is using DLSS performance, so the render resolution is 720p. And yes, I think the 4090 is wasted for 720p, change my mind.

Might be jealously, dunno

Hi. I have 12900K stock

32 GB 2x16 GB DDR4 3600mhz

Palit Gamerock Pro OC rtx 4090

1300W Seasonic Platinum Prime

Aorus Elite DDR4 Z690

Windows 11 2H22. Updated new nvidia drivers.

I used 1440P,DLSS PERFORMANCE,RT ULTRA,rest ultra for testing fps.
So i am gettin low gpu usage ,lower than others ( due to youtube friend ) using dlss performance on 1440P,rt ultra. I made a screen comparison. Any ideas why that happens? I compared that with someone with rtx 4090 and 13900K ( shouldnt be that big differences ).

Link to clip:

My pc:

scene1:

116 fps , gpu load 75%:

cc3.jpg

scene2:

109 fps, gpu load 74% :
cc2.jpg

Hes pc and identical scenes:

scene1:

130 fps, 87% gpu load:
cc2.jpg

scene2:

128 fps, gpu load 86%:

cc1.jpg

Is my pc working normally or why i have lower usage ? I made a test on identical night time. Also no other programs in background.

PS:Changing from dlss performance to quality no changing in my pc fps,i dont know why. Only gpu usage. Some kind of bottleneck?

Example with crowded area, dlss performance,on dlss quality identical fps:
my pc:
80 fps ,62% usage.

Sorry if someone will think i am trolling. NO!. Just wanna be sure if my pc working ok. 3dmark scores are ok i checked. Thanks for helping. And please no close topic ok?
Try lowering the resolution to get moar FPS meight.

Most games will bottleneck the 4090 severely at 1440p.
most last gen cards will anyway because most games don't exactly have high requirements.

The ones that do though the 4090 is a big enough difference and can be the difference between 60fps and doubling that.

4080 will probably be a bottlekneck at 1440p so not like there's much choice.

i think you've been in 1 too many debates on here mate :D you don't know who's side people are on
lol how can i be bitter and jealous when i have a 4090?
yes personally, i wouldn't game at anything less than 4k with my 4090.

thing is, @sewerino26 is showing that by gaming at 1440p he isn't utilizing his gpu as much as he could be by gaming at 4k with maxxed graphics options.

and when he does that at 4k he'll be even more gpu bound.
plus he's not the brightest spark is he, he won't enable psycho and turn off dlss, he only understands resolutions :D
what FPS do you get at 4k with pyscho screen reflections and RT with no DLSS?

96% GPU load and only 59fps @ 3440x1440 here

it says I'm power limited but it was set to 100% in MSI so :S and only 398 watts
AeqzoEu.jpg

and second with DLSS quality

86% GPU load 86fps

I only have a 12700k though so might be slightly CPU limited buit also probably one of the more demanding areas with I'm guessing the most demanding car

BTW if anyone wants to turn on the DLSS info bit like at the bottom left in my second screenshot it's a regedit and adding this key

i play cyberpunk in VR so my settings and results will be different to yours, plus i have a much weaker cpu than you. i don't use RT, res maxxed out, settings on medium, have dlss on Quality, get about 72 fps per eye. i'm not sure what that would translate to in 2D i've never played it this way. btw if you ever want an excuse to try VR then cyberpunk is it it's mind blowing when you are actually in the world rather than looking at it.

I just bought Dying Light 2

3440x1440 @ 83fps with no dlss and 100% load
j0E8uSE.jpg

131 with DLSS Quality @ 99% load

Anyone saying you need as 4k monitor for a 4090 is wrong unless your only playing older games or limited to a 60hz monitor

Do I smell jealousy directed at 4k 120 oled users?

I think when people say 1440p they are talking QHD 2560x1440. Not UWQHD which you are using. Wish people would use QHD and UWQHD when talking 1440p.

Even then UWQHD is 60% of 4k. QHD is ~45% of 4k. So quite a big difference to 4k.

Be interesting to see when those games are patched to DLSS v3

We are advising Sewerino here - who could find a problem with winning the euromillions.

No I was considering buying an ultrawide oled but then read some people had burn in from desktop items etc in the alienware thread well that... put me right off them :p I don't wanna have to set my taskbar to autohide and worry about using the screen "too much" mine can be on for many many hours at a time.

but people who claim "need 4k monitor for a 4090 or you're just wasting it" or plain wrong unless 60hz or playing old games only

and it's wrong to suggest gaming at 1440p without things like RT is an efficient use of a 4090. it's pretty universally accepted that using a high end gpu and high res goes hand in hand.
sewerino is not using his 4090 to its full capabilities, as he has shown. he could improve that by gaming at 4k or yes by upping his RT setting. personally i think he'll get more out of it by upping his res, it'll look better imo.

What program are you using for CP with VR?
I tried it with my 3080 with VorpX and it was meh to say the least.
Now want to give it a go again with my 4090.
