Mafia 2 demo!

How do you use this time demo patch thingy?. I take it you have to drop it into a certain dir within Steam and patch from there?. Where do I put it?. Ta.
1) apply patch to (\Steam\steamapps\common\mafia ii - public demo\pc\Mafia2.exe)
2) enjoy.

does anyone know whether you can buy houses in this game?
Just played this for a bit. Timer patch works perfectly. Loving it so far. I game at the modest resolution of 1440x900 because of my monitor so I've got everything maxed out visual wise and its storming along at a very good frame rate. I'll definitely be buying this. Someone mentioned earlier that they seem to have managed to retain the "feel" from Mafia, I think that is a fair observation. Brilliant, thumbs up from me and can't wait till the full game is out.

Was going to dodge the demo, but really just can't resist .
Not going to play along with whatever story is to be had & instead just see if my pc can handle it ok
, make or break time for if I upgrade my system .

Just played the demo and enjoyed it! Although impressed by the game generally, (must look amazing for physx users - when that gets sorted anyway), I probably won't pay release price for it, will wait for it to drop down just a little. Not a certainty though, might sucumb to it since it did impress me more than I had expected.
The graphics looked pretty darn good, nice contrasts throughout. The fire effects looked excellent, possibly the best I have seen in a game to date. Some nice sense of realism with the graphics used. Well implemented.
Ran the game with no AA and obviously no physx, ran perfectly. If they can sort out the AA or physx issues before release then great, otherwise still a potentially good solid game.
Not sure if I can be arsed to play the first through before the second arrives on my door mat.

I'm finding physx virtually halves the demo framerate on my GTX280,AA seems to produce a big drop too.
Demo looks excellent and plays well enough with AA enabled though,will update drivers as I'm still on 196.21's.
Have another system with a 5850 but haven't installed the demo on it as yet,I'm assuming all the physx stuff on ATI will be disabled,shame that,as it seems it adds quite a lot,albeit with a high performance cost.

Thought you guys might like to know after a little browsing i've found multiple threads discussing the physx issue and it seems to be that the demo installs a new physx driver which is forcing physx onto the CPU. Even though in settings it may be displayed as using the GPU it is in fact forcing it on the CPU apparently. I can't comment yet but you guys might want to check it out yourself
