Make some predictions for the future

I wanted to make this thread just before New Year, but didn't get around to it. So, make predictions relating to computing and technology for 2016, 2018, 2020, 2025 and\or 2030.

(It will be really interesting viewing this thread on those aforementioned dates)
 
I wanna be able to do stuff like in the movie called 'Gamer'.

Not actually control and send people in reality to their inevitable death, but that kind of gameplay.
 
Automation is going to be ever more popular. Being able to seamlessly integrate your daily tasks with life.

As soon as they can stop milking the oil cash cow you'll see a lot more clever ways to harness energy as well from what is wasted now. Think about it, you move, you lose energy through heat, pressure etc. Reusing that energy (things like very small sensors weaved in to threads/clothes so on movement it stores that lost energy to use again. This will be something I think we'll see a lot of. Wireless/ contactless charging really needs to be possible to make full use of this though.
 
Wearable technology will eventually result in people being online all the time. Being offline will be viewed suspiciously by friends, family, your partner and various authorities. This will drive people's behaviour so everyone will increasingly act like sheep with less individuality. For example people already ask why I don't use Facebook.
 
2016: Sky would have started broadcasting in 4k and 3D will be dead

2018: Higher resolution and frame rate monitors will be commonplace around 8k at 120hz with frame syncing tech such as g-sync

2020: Ray tracing will be here providing not only near photorealistic graphics, but also making it much easier to achieve high levels of realism.

2025: Super high vision TV would have been around for a while and holographic TV tech will be on the horizon

2030: Computers and technology will be everywhere, light emitting tattoos, almost all banners and posters will be monitors..., you will find computer chips in almost absolutely everything
 
heads up retina displays to become mainstream. The way people walk around with their noses in their mobiles bumping into everyone I'm guessing it wouldn't be a bad thing.

I would like to say some kind of cheap and easy attainable renewable energy break through for both cars and home.
 
2062.

British politicians will have an epiphany and realise the way they act in the Commons is detrimental to the nation and they'll grow the **** up and run this country properly.

Please don't hold me to that prediction.
 
My son will become a well rounded adult and enjoy his life, his Sever Anxiety will be something he will be able to cope with.

My daughter will get her sodding puppy.

My wife will remember that I am good in bed.

I will find a job where the chances of getting hurt very badly will end.
