Malaysian GP 2009 - Race 2/17

So where do we stand.. are McLaren appealing the result?

Looks like we're going to make a habit of it. Maybe we should lie again too, just to keep things consistent you know.

All we heard is some guy in the backgound in the Hamilton interview saying "we are discussing it" I think people are getting a little too carried away - In all likelyhood it means absolutely nothing - they could have menat discuss it amoungst themselves as they werent sure as much as discussing it with the stewards - people seem rather quick to judge on this forum..

hehe, thats why Kimi is my favourite driver, just so genuine and relaxed, and is a pretty damn good driver on his day :D

Anyone else notice the new style cap he is wearing? It looks more like a flat front rather than the standard cap...

The first part was a question. I thought someone had said McLaren were looking into where Hamilton finished..

The second part was a sarcastic remark.

Ah right, get you now. Yes I heard the press officer (?) beside Hamilton saying that they where discussing it. I think all they meant by that, was further confirmation from the FIA/Race Control on the results. Personally I can't see them appealing the race result, as it's not in their interest at the moment given last week's "episode."

I very much think it was as part of the de-briefing than anything else. Just a normal conversation overheard by the TV cameras - nothing more than that.

If anyone thinks differently, they are stupid...

Ahh theyve stopped using the cards to work out the reverse grid start?

Damn I loved the cards - why did they have to change it ;)

"Felipe, baby, stay cool... ..."

:D

Seems that Youtube picked up on that as well then ;)

I get the feeling that is going to run for a long long long time.... I recon by the next race there will be atleast 1 fan banner with "Felipe baby, stay cool!" on it!

:)

On a side note, I can remember seing an image taken of the podium at Brazil last year. It was a long shot with a helepad in silohette in the background with the sky all dar and massa stood right at the front of the podium with his arms out to the crowd with him lit up and everything else dark, look epic. Think it won a prize or something. Does anyone know it and where its from? Id like a print. Im not a Massa fan, but that is such a powerfull picture its worth a print.

Yeah. :) So cool. His merchandise range is really quite poor though. :(

what i love is theirs a restriction to money they can chuck at the cars thsi season , so ferrai and mclaren cant solve their problems with hundreds of hours of testing and lots of money..
so theyll have to rely on skill and brains, which could mean fer. are offically screwed if todays tyre choice is anything to go by :D

I don't ever recall seeing a car built, so fast out of the box like this Brawn.

Same here. Even the cars that have dominated in the past have had teething problems during testing. These problems get ironed out during the many testing miles. In the case of BrawnGP, the car was fast and reliable from day 1 - something I've not seen...ever.
