Malaysian Grand Prix 2010, Sepang - Race 3/19

With a rainy race, could Schumi be a dark horse ;)

Unless they can dramatically increase the performance of the car, I can't see how he can win the race (barring extraordinary events). The last race was wet and during the damp/wet/early part of the race, he did nothing special, while Alonso was scything through the field.

I agree that in his time, MS was arguably the best wet weather driver, but this is 2010, where he has to compete against Hamilton, Vettel and Alonso - who aren't bad in the wet. Also, given that he is unable to beat his own team-mate, we have to assume that the 2010 MS does not have the same skills as the 2004 MS.

Based on the above, I can't see MS winning.

He had his front wing chopped off at the start though, and people were pitting for slicks after 5 or 6 laps, so I wouldn't really call that a fair assessment. 1/10th of the race on a damp track doesn't class as a wet race IMO :)

Vettel claims a loss of performance in their car due to the mirror change, I wonder if thats going to be subject to their car only? :)

Will affect all of the teams I think, but Ferrari and RBR in particular I would have thought due to how far out they had theirs.

The rain is good, up until there is so much that it ends up with cars aquaplaning down the circuit due to the stupid underfloor board :(

Morning, anyone else on urghhhh hate fly away races mode?? Especially with China in 2 weeks as well....

Im amazed jenson hasnt even lead a race since turkey before last weekend!!

Like that quid bet on chandhok too...

WTF is this **** they are going on about using a push to pass on the rear wing. What a stupid idea.

The car behind to get passed has a button to shallow the rear wing to create more straight line speed. LMAO. He then has to have enough time to stick the wing back down for a corner.

Also there is nothing to stop the car leading shallowing his rear wing to create more straightline speed.

Its a stupid idea, the car in the lead would just trim his wing off as well as soon as he hit the straight. Then you would end up with loads of regulations as to when you could use it if you was the car infront.

It wouldn't stop the dirty air problem.
