Malaysian Grand Prix 2014, Kuala Lumpur - Race 2/19

Good to see a different car in front for a change but I'm not really sure how a race with very little overtaking or action can suddenly be called great by the majority when exactly the same race last season would've been called boring :o

Again 24second to the next non merc, just like the first race. they are managing the gap more than people think. That merc has plenty of time in hand.

First race 26second gap, this race 24 second. A Pit stop in hand and no more.

I don't think it was great at all, I was just as bored as some of the races last season.

Williams messed up. Should have let Bottas through much earlier. Spent pretty much the entire race staring up Massa's exhaust. Made up 10 places, and then just stopped...

Radio call to Bottas after the finish - We know there was more positions there, We'll have a chat later.

Caterham now move up to 10th in the championship - 2 car finish in 13th and 14th. :D

I wouldn't say great, but much more entertaining than most of the races last season. Tires not randomly blowing up helped.

If he wasn't fast enough to get past massa he had no chance further up and should stop whining.

What's going to be interesting is as teams get more data, more experience. Williams could and should have used more fuel all race. We could see later in the season that say Williams fuel rate was actually down to offsets from the FIA in regards to the fuel sensor. They may have been incorrectly limited down to say 95-98kg/h which is what gave them good fuel efficiency but a lack of ultimate passing pace.

Who knows, did anyone see a fuel graphic in the final few laps, was anyone actually close to the 100% fuel used mark?

Fuel limit won't effect every race, others will be limited more by the fuel rate.

I'm also not sure what the percentages were, it could be that because the cars didn't need 100kg/h that Williams under fuelled the car by 5kg's and needed to use that much less than the others.

Probably impossible to know at this point, like last year when Merc massively under fuelled Hamilton, it could just be a learning point and Williams next time around use the full 100kg and burn around like bad asses.
